“Beanstalk has some frustratingly limited hours, making it difficult to patronize on the regular (especially during the work week!), but when you do manage to get in the door, there's some fantastic treasures to be found here. Although it is primarily a consignment children's clothing store, you'll also find no shortage of wonderful, analog toys to plant the seeds of imagination in your little ones, in the hope that they'll sprout into clever, intelligent, fully-functioning, not-screen-addicted adults! This must be a conscious choice, because I could find nary an electronic device anywhere in the shop! Big kudos from me on that point alone! As for the clothing, let's just say, you're spoilt for choice. While some of the items are a little on the pricier side than I would like for a consignment shop, the quality of the clothing here is impeccable: clean, well-organized, and a healthy variety of sizes and styles. Everything you could need for any age, from newborn and toddler, up through the early grade school years: shirts, pants, dresses, hats, coats, shoes (TONS of shoes!), costumes, and all sorts of accessories! There's also a small selection of baby stuff in the back, including cribs, swings, and a host of different devices that I have no clue as to their function, but will assuredly be learning about them in the coming months (my wife is due next month)! In the last year, I have come to learn that shopping for a new child sucks, mostly because there is a dearth of places that have any quantity of clothing and accessories, outside of the big box stores, which I would prefer not to frequent, if possible. Thankfully, Beanstalk is here to pick up the slack, but you DO have to make an effort to get here during operating hours, particularly if you work during the week: Saturday (from 10am to 5pm) is your only real available option.”

“There aren't many baby stores you can go to in person anymore. My husband and I love this store and being able to see the baby gear in person. We bought our nursery glider here and we love it. The staff are always so kind and helpful. We will definitely be returning as we raise our little guy!”

They have a great selection of everything they carry, everyone is knowledgeable and happy to help, and the store is just a fun place to be. The store's been in the owners family since 1919, and you can clearly feel that from the care and attention he and the staff give to both the customers and the store itself. The place is a true Portland landmark, and worth visiting if you need a new jacket, boots, or just a cool place to wander.”

“Been consigning for years here. Always find good gear for the changing seasons. Friendly staff, went through the items to consign quickly—while I waited, I perused the books—high quality and wide ranging selection—I always find books on my list for my PreK classroom. For a small store, it’s well stocked—yet easy to peruse as it’s well organized and there are always sweet locally made treasures among the displays such as hand crafted hair accessories and the like. It’s right next to Starbucks and Whole Foods and a postal store which makes gift shopping easy one stop experience! Thank you”

“So why was I here on the far side of Portland yesterday? The answer is that this is one of the few places I can buy a 2X Tall shirt for my big boned son. This Eddie Bauer is located within a the large and disorienting Clackamas Town Center. That means that all I wanted to do is get in, find the place, buy the shirts, and get out ASAP. Yet, while I was here, the selection was decent, the clearance pricing was tempting, and our mission was accomplished.”

Do to my schedule, I have seen a bunch of stylists at their salon Denise, Amvy, Corina,Oliver and Cynthia and as of recent I just seen Christal and Rachel. Every appointment has been amazing and happy with my services . The manager Jenny Mae is very perfessional , always happy and smiling, and runs a very clean salon. A great manager truly shows and reflects on the stylist and how sweet and professional everyone is. The most important is you can be yourself and not be judged. Helpful hint, if you have to go in to pick up anything or return anything in store, park over by the shoe section. There's no other check stands open usually for anything. But it's still a great product and a great store especially if you need something online.”
