Mount Hood Meadows High Performance Center is a premier ski resort located on the slopes of Mount Hood. The resort offers a variety of runs, from beginner to expert, catering to skiers of all skill levels. While the resort is generally praised for its great skiing conditions, helpful staff, and beautiful views, one notable drawback is the chairlift on the beginner Buttercup slope. Reviewers have reported that this particular chairlift can be problematic, as it tends to dump people out over a dropping slope, leading to frequent falls and potential injuries. One reviewer even mentioned banging their head hard on the ice after being dropped by the lift, emphasizing the importance of wearing a helmet. Despite this issue, the resort is still highly regarded, with reviewers praising the quality of the other lifts, the lack of overcrowding, and the overall ski experience. The resort is also known for its excellent food, with one reviewer describing it as a "great ski resort, not too touristy, great food." Meadows is also praised for its efficient rental process and the availability of a spring pass deal, which includes unlimited rentals and three lessons, making it an excellent value for newer skiers. The instructors at the resort are also noted for their expertise and helpfulness in guiding beginners through the learning process. Overall, Mount Hood Meadows High Performance Center is a well-regarded ski resort that offers a great skiing experience, with the exception of the problematic chairlift on the Buttercup slope. With its beautiful views, helpful staff, and excellent value, the resort is a popular destination for skiers of all skill levels.
Great ski resort, not too touristy, great food. Was a bit on the pricy side but we enjoyed everything Meadows had to offer. Well done, Meadows! Keep it up.

when the conditions are right, low temperature and recent five feet of snow overnight, it's as good as going to Utah. I don't feel need to travel anywhere else! short lift lines even on weekends, helpful and friendly staff, veteran discount. beautiful views of Mt Hood and Adams.

Glad to learn that my day ski pass will cover parking five miles from the actual resort, stinky diesel shuttle, 30-min waiting in line to get on the chair lift, skiing on non-groomed runs through the dense fumes of smoked weed.
