“I go to the Oregon City Elks Lodge to play bingo on Wednesday evenings. (Disclosure: I am not a member) I know they are a fraternal organization, in which you have to pay yearly membership fees. That membership allows you to go to any Elks Lodge. There are some that have bowling alleys, swimming pools, little restaurants/bars, fun themed event nights/fundraisers, along with many other things! They do a lot of charity work. Different lodges have different amenities and events. Bingo at the Oregon City Lodge, specifically, is open to the general public (21+) and is a lot of fun!”
“BLS course was great. Informative and hands on learning experience. This was my second time with med outreach as well as having Tim as my instructor. Will definitely be coming back for future renewals!”
“Other than the pick up/drop off traps and your fur friend(s) times leaving you in the middle of rush hour traffic I don't have much to complain about. The people here are providing a great service. They care about the animals safety & health not to mention the communities they live in. I totally recommend the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon in SW Portland”
“Inquired about renting the place for a quinceanera, not only did we get a great price for the rental but they also cater and offer clean-up , everything at a very reasonable price around 12-1300.00 for 6-7 hrs of use plus they have a bar with bartender , clean restrooms and video gaming room too, dance floor, stage tables and chairs everything you'll need in a cozy friendly atmosphere with pro service's , we highly recommend American Legion Post 180 and we ourselves will keep coming here first for all our family gatherings, thank you Leeann !”

“We have stayed here multiple times with our daughter. She loves going there and we love it because it is one less thing we need to worry about when she needs to be at the hospital. We live almost 2 hours away so it's great for those early morning appointments.”
“Whether beginning a new life path or wanting to increase your knowledge of a purposeful life, this Center is absolutely a fantastic vehicle to accomplish either goal.”
“We pretty much only use the pool here, both for open play swim and swimming lessons for the kids. Never had any issues. The slide is almost always open during open swim. Shout out to the lifeguards who scan the water non-stop like robots. I even came in at 4:05pm recently and open swim had just started 5 minutes before. Not a single soul was in the pool, yet all three lifeguards were scanning the water anyway. I chuckled out loud at the sight, but honestly, it's a good sign that they take their jobs seriously and stay on task.”
“Absolutely wonderful Library! Very clean and well kept. Helpful and knowledgeable employees. BUT, don't bother trying to use there scanning printing system. Outdated system with new tech spliced in, is simple a debacle to try and use, for patrons and employees alike, as it seems no one can nail down the best or even an exact way to utilize the system. It comes accross as "high tech" at first glance and yet you can only pay with coins or bills, no debit/credit card payments accepted. It is definitely not a user friendly set up. Try a Fedex, a family members printer or just buy a scanner/printer of your own.”
“I found this center very welcoming and refreshing as I have been exploring different communities since moving to Portland. For the first time in my exploring, I did not feel like beliefs were being pushed onto me. The Sunday meeting consisted of a nice spread of meditation, qi gong, and a dharma talk.”
“Went to the farm for the first time today to pick up a spring garden kit. We were warmly greeted by friendly people and allowed to tour the farm. They teach kids about farming and that's such a valuable skill to have.”
“We recently adopted our daughter through the support and care of Choice Adoptions. Our process was almost 3 years start to finish and Choice was was, and is with us every step of the way. They are personable and thorough and we can’t imagine a more supportive agency in an emotional process. I would absolutely use them again!”

“They are the least corrupt of all the Charities I am familiar with unfortunately at this time they are not giving away food boxes in Portland I strongly believe in their causes”
“So many teachers, so it seems easy to accommodate any schedule. The prices are fair (much more fair than the Bay Area prices my family and I are used to). The facility is huge! The first time coming here, it felt like a super fun maze like museum. The music art all over the walls are beautiful!! Because there are so many teachers, you can also find many, many different teachers teaching many, many different instruments. Don't like your teacher, (I can't imagine that) but you can switch to another one until you find the right one. However, the people who coordinate the classes will ask you questions about your child in order to pair them with the best possible teacher. Beautiful facility, awesome flexibility with time and teachers, and close to good restaurants if you like to dine out after. :)”
“This drop off center has great hours and is easy to pull in and out of. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They don't take large items like furniture so plan for that. Drop off area is covered and protected in the rain.”
“It’s like a precious gem in the middle of Lake Oswego! This used book store is similar to Powells except all the books are reasonably priced, it’s super clean, tons of genres to choose from. The staff is extra friendly and helpful. I love this store!”
“We visited a relative who lives here. The activities available are excellent; lots of variety for active seniors. The restaurant and snack bar are very good and the prices are good. The staff are friendly. Word of warning: the trip from the airport seemed both long and complicated, but I guess big cities will always be that way.”
“Effective and comprehensive community resource. A unifying force addressing many needs co ordinating with others and providing a variety of volunteer opportunities (clothes closet, food bank, maintenance, cleaning, kitchen, etc.).”
“I was prudent enough to first research on the store's web-site what their hours/days of operation were. Finding them closed on a Monday would have been distressing, but my foresight saved me from such, since they are closed on Mondays and Sundays. I found the staff to be very accommodating and willing to go out of their way at the two times that I patronized the shop. Their prices seem reasonable and selection was good.”
“Came to volunteer for a school field trip, this place is tightly wound. Great opportunity for kids to get some real life understanding, although some took it more serious than others. The staff running the place acted almost like micro manager CEOs. The kids seemed like they had fun going around shopping and buying stuff for themselves and their stores.”

“This organization is great! I'm a senior without transportation & medical issues & don't have any family help! I'm very grateful for thei assistance for food deliveries!?”
“There's a comment here about "homeless hanging around waiting for items before it goes to the public store" etc. Goodwill is founded on helping these exact homeless people that the said individual thought was a "bad impression". I imagine that these homeless folks don't mean to give a "bad impression" while they're fighting for their lives literally and/or metaphorically due to challenges that we know absolutely nothing about. There was a Mayor in another state that dressed up as a homeless person to see how their city treated them and, almost needless to say, was disheartened at best. There are other Mayor's, Officials etc. in other states that do the same thing so you actually never know who's who, although it really shouldn't matter bc we need to remember humanity and compassion first and foremost, in addition to remembering to be grateful for the things and lives we have bc much of the homeless folks (God bless them!) used to live "normal" lives like the rest of us and to also remember that kindness truly is the highest form of intelligence.”
“Had a great meeting here discussing reuse and repurposing of a variety of objects. I encourage everyone to Google this business and explore their great business plan; it's pretty remarkable.”
“Only organization advocating for the safety, livabilty and quality of life issues in and for the residence of Lents. All are invited to the hosted monthly, highly educational meetings where you can meet, speak and voice your concerns with local government officials. Meetings occur the second Thursday of each month, a simple dinner is served at 6:30, meeting starts at 7:05pm. Hope to see you there.”
“An old facility but a goodie. It is well maintained, beautiful inside and out.I attended a small school graduation there and the space was more than adequate.Things I noticed:A lovely stage, never found an A/C control (so verify if you plan a summer event), handicap access is available,&Women’s restroom: I found the restroom stall size inadequate to maneuver comfortably and I am only a size 18 so certainly do not think it would afford room to move for elderly with cane/walker or handicap unless you leave the stall door open. This might be acceptable accommodation for you because there is an outer room that can be used for this (and nursing mothers) and the door between the main hall and that outer room can be closed.”
