“I am always so impressed with how helpful and knowledgeable the staff are at this store! I have purchased product for many different projects and they always steer me in the right direction and love the end result. They always treat me so well and take time with me even though I'm just another DIY'er always learning a new trick.”

“Had a great experience at Sherwin-Williams today. I went in not knowing exactly what I needed for a furniture project, and Casey and Skye walked me through everything step by step — from primer to paint to getting the right finish for the look I was going for.

They were patient, knowledgeable, and didn’t try to oversell anything — just made sure I had the right products to get a high-quality result. You can tell they actually know their stuff and care about helping you do the job right.

If you’re working on a project and need guidance, I’d definitely recommend stopping in. Casey and Skye made the whole process way easier.”

“Fantastic selection of metallic paint. We went to two other professional paint stores, but did not have any. They did recommend Brush & Trowel. We strongly recommend them as well.”

“Love having a Benjamin Moore paint center easily nearby. Even better when the staff is amazingly helpful. Been in the store too many times to count. Quick runs in for brushes to longer consultations regarding colors... and most recently about wood stain. He even took the time to sand a bit of the bottom of the shelf so we could test stain colors to match whatever hubby used 40+ years ago. Thank you!”

“This review is a long time coming because my house was painted last year, but it speaks to how much of a positive impact this store had that it's been on my mind to make sure I write this. The contractor I worked with for both my business and home is a loyal SW client, and this is his store. I can understand why. Professional, super helpful, efficient, but mostly, they take the time to discuss and inform. I must also give a gigantic thank you and tons of credit to the District Manager, Ryan Laughlin - spelling?, who provided extraordinary service and kindness over a period of time on my project. Ryan is an incredible asset to SW and I am grateful to him. This store's 5-star rating is well-deserved.”

“I’m not sure what I was expecting but the folks at Powell Paint Center went above and beyond. Great service, plus everyone was happy to answer lots of questions. I don’t live particularly close but will be returning here for my next paint projects because it’s definitely worth it.”

“I love Miller Paint! Yes, it's a bit more expensive than paint at the big home improvement stores, but it's way better quality than those less expensive paints. Fantastic coverage, great selection of sheens and they're formulated for the PNW.
I highly recommend that people that care about QUALITY, go to Miller Paint.”

“We recently had our house interiors repainted, and found the Color Center to be the best place for Benjamin Moore paints. Jeff and his crew are super-helpful and knowledgeable about various paint sheens, and will even take the time to formulate and match custom colors.”

“Always been happy with Miller there paint is better than the others however recently they switched the brand of sandpaper from 3m to some Norton brand and it is horrible do not waste your money 150 grit is more like 400 and it doesn't last more than a few minutes hand sanding where as 3m was a 100% better than this garbage”

“I’ve completely quit BM. The paints and stains here go on more beautifully and last. Also their staff is knowledgeable, which most stores, even specialty ones, are not. I’ve had such good luck this year with novel (.to me) products like a waterproof one for a basement, a non-skinning stain for a redwood greenhouse and a self-leveling Matte finish for a wood desk. Not sure if all SW are like this but the Boones Ferry one is so good”

“Went to this location to get a Miller paint fan deck. Friendly personnel and also has a lot of useful items laid out. I started thinking of my next projects, and will be back.”

“I brought in a couple swatches that I had cut off of my drywall needing to match the color to fix some dings. I figured I would get something close enough that most wouldn't notice, but they match the paint absolutely perfectly. I was able to use it anywhere on the wall, without any sort of change in color or being able to tell that it was a different paint. I was very happy with the results.”

“I called from Canada to buy 1 gallon of paint for our warehouse in Portland, but phoned their manufacturing facility, which referred me to Paul Schraeder from a different location. I couldn't get anyone to pick up, so he himself offered to drive to the warehouse and drop off and didn't even want to charge me. I am so happy we can have our parts painted before shipping out tomorrow to our client.Paul is a great listener, soft spoken but knowledgeable and very accommodating.Rodda Paint Co. you got a gem of a serviceman, and it is very rare.Bless you all! Will definitely call again when I need paint.Emili”

“Was expecting more home depot/Lowe's concept, but not really sure what to expect beyond that. They are open to the public, but definitely geared towards contractors with volume orders over time. They also have a massive lumber yard if you need anything wood
Staff was friendly and helpful. Just don't expect home depot or Lowes experience.

Expect more of a rural lumber/builder supply house in a large scale of materials. They seem to have a lot of items to sell, it is just not all on pallet racks for you to peruse. You ask the help at the counter and they will help you. Like they even know they are expected to help you, and not just cover a break in unfamiliar territory.
Even a person not directly involved with me tried assisting a bit, but had missed my intended usage statement, which was not typical for the item in question. On price alone, he has a better solution, but it did not assist in mitigating external noise as i was iintending to.

Overall a good experience, especially when I was not sure what to expect”

“Very happy shopping here. They have a good selection. Service was great. One visit I just needed a small amount of sheet rock and they let me pick out some remnant pieces and did not charge me. We need to support local stores like this one.”
