“Ainsworth House and Gardens was one of the best decisions we made during our planning journey. We knew from the moment we saw photos of the venue, that this was where we’d be married. What we didn’t know at the time, was how extraordinary the people and service would be.

Christie and John Shyne are incredible and their love for the property and what they do really shine. You can see and feel the love they put into their property.

Our venue provided coordinator, Elizabeth, was amazing. She guided us through planning the day of coordination, our wedding rehearsal, and keeping everything moving the day of the wedding. She even made sure my mom ate and enjoyed herself rather than “working” my wedding. She truly notices and handles the little things and pays attention to the people. She’s incredibly thoughtful and helpful. A day of coordinator provided with a venue package became the lifesaver we didn’t know we needed.

All in all, our wedding day couldn’t have been more beautiful and Ainsworth House & Gardens made sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a dreamy garden wedding with wonderful service.”

“We went to the Celebration of Life service for Lloyd Farthing Jr. who passed away in November 2025. The Elks Lodge was nice and the service was very good the pictures showed gave good narrative of his very active life. Karen his current wife and April did a great job putting his Celebration together. I was married to Lloyd for 10 years and we have a beautiful daughter April Kai married to Cody and her 2 daughters. Everyone that talked about Lloyd had sincere love for him. He will be missed by all who knew him in Portland and the surrounding areas, all the way to Texas where most of his family lives. “Amazing venue. Food is 10/10 my guests love it and they accommodate allergies. They also give nurses discounts which absolutely sold us! Jenny was an amazing coordinator.”

“An old facility but a goodie. It is well maintained, beautiful inside and out.I attended a small school graduation there and the space was more than adequate.Things I noticed:A lovely stage, never found an A/C control (so verify if you plan a summer event), handicap access is available,&Women’s restroom: I found the restroom stall size inadequate to maneuver comfortably and I am only a size 18 so certainly do not think it would afford room to move for elderly with cane/walker or handicap unless you leave the stall door open. This might be acceptable accommodation for you because there is an outer room that can be used for this (and nursing mothers) and the door between the main hall and that outer room can be closed.”
