“aimee, lindsay and seth greeted us and were very welcoming! aimee and lindsay were super helpful in introducing us to the crypt of shadows room. aimee was particularly upbeat and great at setting the vision and using character voices. all of us left with glowing reviews of the rooms themselves. we one hundred percent will return. i recommend them highly. the rooms we learned are created from the owners who used to work in designing haunted houses. they definitely know what they are doing, we had so many clues and puzzles to work out that we solved it with seconds to spare. thank you all for a great time!”

“I recently stayed at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience in every way.

Rooms:
The room was incredibly spacious, modern, and spotless. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the high-quality toiletries to the plush towels and crisp linens. The room also had a beautiful view, which made relaxing after a long day even more enjoyable. The temperature control was perfect, and the room was always quiet, providing a restful environment for sleep.

Service:
The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. Check-in was quick and easy, and any request I had was promptly attended to. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room neat.

Location:
The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We were staying because the hospital was nearby and had an extended stay at this hotel.... Public transportation is conveniently nearby, but I found walking around to be just as pleasant. The hotel offered valet parking or street parking was available as well. It’s a nice, clean area, so despite being centrally located, I enjoyed a peaceful stay.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would choose to stay here again!”

“BEAUTIFUL magical venue, if you're looking for places to get married in or around Portland definitely check out Blockhouse. We got endless compliments on our reception here. I'll be coming back to Pomarius Nursery to buy plants just to sneak more looks at this beautiful venue! They were very communicative and helpful throughout the entire planning process. We wanted a venue IN Portland (not in the gorge or wine country) since a lot of our friends and family live in town and its close to the airport with a lot of hotels nearby and options for afterparty. We also appreciated their later (11pm) cut off which allowed us to have a later reception with our friends and family. We barely had to add decorations because the space was naturally so beautiful. We did add a plant wall backdrop through the nursery and it turned out perfect. I can't say enough great things about it!”

“I don't like the driving range tee box Tee position. They have the hole for the tee right in the middle on the sides. Does not give room to move your feet back behind the tee without you feet being of the terf. They need to fix the holes and move them up more.”

“I was parked at the convention center and had an appointment near there. When I came back from my appointment and tried to get into the building to get back to my car, I was having trouble because the doors were locked. A wonderful security guard named Cynthia spotted me and asked if she could help. She not only helped me get into the building, she walked me down the elevator and to my car. It was so great that she went out of her way to help me. And, she thanked ME for helping her get her steps in. What a caring, sweet individual she is.”

“Okay honest review I have been going here for years. But I can't give them 5 stars. Because I always hear of one seat not reclining or being stuck in the reclined position( my poor wife on friday). Other than that popcorn is always good and if you ask for extra butter you definitely get it. I know these are in alot of places my I love the coke machines. I mean come on why did it take so long to exist lol. We saw the Mandalorian and Grogu. Screen quality looked good seats were comfy. I didn't stick to the floor everything was nice and clean. We will go back we always do.”

“If you want to have fun in a cool, well-placed space, the Baker Building is for you. They don't yet have their speakeasy open downstairs, but I can't wait to see it when the final product is ready to go.

This historic building is situated right above a flower shop that also provided florals for my bride and groom and did a fantastic job. The owners, Jen and Mark, are fantastic partners throughout the entire planning process. They provided everything we needed to have a fantastic party and were incredibly helpful as the night waned on and new things popped up.

As with any historic building in Portland, there will be its quirks. For example, the Baker Building is upstairs and there's no elevator. But if you're with a group for whom that's not an issue—or you have very adaptable friends—this is a great place to host an intimate wedding where you can party all night long and then slip out to the great bars right nearby.”

“I hosted a weekly event here for three months and it was the perfect space to host my group. Everyone looked forward to meeting in the space each week and it brought some light to the dull winter. Lauren was so easy to work with and the space was always tidy and clean. Bonus points for having Laverne's downstairs.”

“Such a fun place for east coast swing dancing on Sundays! I felt welcomed and comfortable, and the price is really reasonable at $10 for a crash course and social dancing until 10:30pm.”

“Went to Candlelight Tribute to Tool on a Friday night. Parking can be tricky so it is worth it to get there early. But the venue and performance were superb. It was really a unique and fun experience and I would definitely come back for their other shows. I'm really glad they are allowing the space to be used for these wonderful performances of truely great tallent.”

“I loved this venue. My guest ALL loved this venue. Any requirements were clearly stated and written out. Contract was super simple to understand. I knew exactly what I was going to pay from day 1. There was no “extras” that I was required to pay after signing the agreement/contract. Ive had event venues throw in all the “youre required to purchase this and that” after I signed so that was frustrating but this venue did not do any of that. Parking was easy and available. I barely needed to decorate the room. All the tables and chairs were set up when I arrived. There was plenty of room even with 120 chairs. Bathrooms were clean. Lighting was perfect (no warehouse feeling). And honestly, my absolutely most valued thing they offered was that they only want me to take what I brought and that they do all the take down of the tables and chairs. They do the floor clean up and take the trash out, which was golden for me! Usually, at other places, we’re helping our cleaning crew clean up while in our traditional clothes and heels and we regret our choice of hosting but Kelly at eastman broad could not have made it any easier for me or my guest. We all absolutely loved it and weeks after my event, Im still getting messages about how amazing the event turned out and I really didnt do anything extra other than just getting a really great hall! I truly highly recommend this venue. The only thing I would suggest to others booking this venue is to give some grace with timely responses and communication. There is a slight lag in communication but not a deal breaker if your prepared for it. Dont do crazy last minute changes. Overall, book this place before someone else gets to it first! Its a hidden gem and I know Im setting myself up for never being able to get a date again by announcing how great this place is but I really dont recommend a place unless I wont use it again myself. “A Perfect Bridal Shower at Louiza Event Space
We recently hosted a bridal shower at Louiza, and I cannot recommend them enough. From the initial booking to the final moments of the event, Shobhna was a dream to work with. The planning process was seamless, and they were incredibly accommodating to all of our requests.

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. The space was bright and elegant, and it provided the perfect backdrop for our event. We came from out of town and did not have the ability to bring a lot of decorations. This space is decorated, spacious, and accommodates a fun and relaxed event. Our guests were so impressed with the atmosphere and most notably the food!!! The setup was handled flawlessly, and they made sure every detail was perfect.

The catering was outstanding. We chose a bridal shower package, and the food was delicious—our guests raved about the beautiful presentation and how yummy everything tasted. We could tell a lot of effort was put into the preparation and taste. Shobhna made sure we had everything we needed and let us relax and enjoy the space.

Louiza Event Space and Shobhna made the bridal shower a truly special and memorable event. We felt completely stress-free knowing we were in such capable hands. If you're looking for a beautiful venue with fantastic food and impeccable service, look no further.”

“The Wedding of Our Dreams at Columbia Edgewater Country Club

We could not have asked for a more perfect experience than our wedding at Columbia Edgewater Country Club! From start to finish, the entire team was an absolute dream to work with — professional, organized, kind, and attentive to every single detail.

A huge shoutout to the venue’s event coordinator, Miranda Smith, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran flawlessly. Her professionalism and calm presence made the day completely stress-free — every detail was handled beautifully, and I never had to worry about a single thing. She even made our dream “grand exit” of a pool jump our reality!

Our guests are still raving about the incredible food, and we have Chef Kelly to thank for that! Every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and exceeded expectations. The quality and care put into the menu truly elevated our entire celebration. The entire staff from bar team to servers were extremely attentive and welcoming.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning — from the lush golf course views to the elegant event spaces, it provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. Throughout the entire planning process, the team was so accommodating with every little request and truly went out of their way to make our vision come to life.

Thanks to Columbia Edgewater Country Club, our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. I cannot recommend this venue and their amazing staff enough, if we could relive this day forever we would!!!”
