“My experience with Medallion Industries: I have worked for a lot of window companies and have always felt the “corporate mentality” when it came to how I was treated. I never felt appreciated with my hard work or when I went the extra mile. Medallion does not give me that feeling. What I see at Medallion is a company that takes the time to make sure their employees feel appreciated, wanted, and cared for. During times of less profits on the bottom line, Medallion still makes sure the employees have what they need for the holidays. For example, for Thanksgiving I was given a very generous turkey for my family to enjoy, and for Christmas I am given a ham. They don’t have to do these things, especially during this time of year when building/profits naturally slows down. They even recognize employees that are having hard times and collectively come together to make sure their family has a comfortable Christmas. Do I genuinely feel appreciated? Absolutely. “If you need big beams or interesting reclaimed wood for a project I highly recommend checking this place out. I built a bench from a cool old beam and the price was fair. They also have a lot of other hardware, handles, lighting etc. the lady that helped me was super nice as well. Not dirt cheap by any means but still worth it to me.”

“I use Parr for a majority of my pergola and fence builds. The lumber is 95% better and more consistent than any box store. You pay a premium price for quality lumber and everyone on here telling you that it’s too expensive compared to the box stores clearly hasn’t worked with or purchased a lot of wood. The customer service can be hit or miss but sometimes it’s amazing. They are used to dealing with contractors and not homeowners so they will be short with you if you are an entirely sure what you’re looking for. Plan and prepare before you call them. Be ready with a list of materials that you want to get pricing and they will be tremendously helpful. I continue to go back to them for their amazing delivery times and quality wood compared to home depot/lowes.”

“I made a large purchase of pressure treated boards from Milwaukie Lumber with the sole purpose of keeping my money local. My lumber was delivered today... I was a little surprised at the drop off technique. The lumber was just rolled off the back of the truck 5 feet from the ground. Sounded pretty rough... and I am certain the wood is absolutely fine, but wanted to make sure ML was aware of the drop and what the procedure was to replace damaged boards, if any. After going thru 3 people on 2 separate calls, ML reassured me that they stand behind their delivery technique and will take care of me as a customer. Overall my experience was good.”

“My favorite shop as a drywall contractor! Super helpful staff, I’m terrible and never have the part numbers i order all the time handy and they help me figure it out every time! When I get out into the bays there were guys ready to take my order and bring the materials directly to my truck! Recently purchased a tool and had some problems, cheap little thing, bought a 2nd, same problem, let them know what was up and helped me right the situation! All round great place, great staff, worthy of a stop for any of your interior tool or material needs!”
