“I've made a half dozen or so orders over a few years, each one--ranging from sympathy to romance flowers--has been a good experience. The arrangements/bouquets are fresh, interesting and seasonal. Owner is friendly, dedicated to the craft, and produces a great product every time. I feel great knowing I'm supporting a local business. This most recent order was for a lavender palette bouquet so my significant other could test out the colors with wedding looks. She adored the bouquet and it was so fragrant. I called the morning of delivery and was greeted by a very friendly employee who made sure the delivery driver got the information. “Wendy was an absolute pleasure to work with! It took a long time for me to find a florist that would allow us to order Leis from Hawaii. Wendy was incredibly accommodating. Then when we got to designing the florals, Wendy was amazing! We talked over what flowers I liked and what I wanted to see done at my wedding. We went with three bouquets, then for the ceremony space we did three flower installations with drapes at the altar space, then greenery for each table and head table, and some greenery around the stands for the welcome sign and seating chart. Wendy made everything that we talked about come to life.”
“Pre Pandemic, I stopped in to this Illusion Florist and Events for single stem flowers (in pink or purple) as a surprise for my Darling Husband. There were usually plenty of flowers to choose from. Most afternoons when I was there, there were also a few white roses available. The shop owner was usually preparing for an upcoming event. Three times, when I stopped by there was a hand written note on the door stating that the storefront was closed (there was a cell phone number to call for an appointment, though). I'm not sure how many times I bought flowers here since 2014. My guesstimate (guess + estimate = guesstimate) is five times. The storefront is located in the middle of the smaller building next to the corner gas station at 122nd and Southeast Stark Streets on the Northeast corner of that intersection on Stark Street. Sometimes, the drapes are closed. I recommend calling your order ahead of time... about three to four days. Unless you are planning an event (call ahead about two weeks to two months ahead of your event).”

“Went by Albertsons and they had a grill going with Signature cafe St. Louis style pork ribs bbq by deli staff. Bought half rack and they are absolutely tender and delish! Very yummy. “For two years I've lived and walked by Lily root almost daily but never went in. Today I went in needing a last minute gift and card for my 10-year-old son who's adopted parents had set up a surprise visit. Initially I ordered a personalized 3D picture frame from a national retail chain who messed up and used the wrong customer's photos. The gentleman who helped me at Lilly root was personable , patient , understanding and kind. The first card he suggested had a giraffe on it he thought that might be cool for a 10 year old but I told him I was going to keep looking. 3 minutes later I locked eyes on a reusable water bottle decorated with giraffes and went with his initial suggestion for the card . Thank you so much Lily root, my son loved the gift and his card! 100% I will be recommending Lily root flower shop to my family and friends. And a special thank you to the gentleman who helped me today. You absolutely saved my visit with my son thank you so much”
