About Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement (JA) offers engaging programs that inspire young people to succeed in a global economy through hands-on experiences in work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. The organization works closely with K-12 schools in Oregon and SW Washington, focusing on serving youth from low-income families, rural areas, and marginalized communities. Reviews highlight the fun and educational experiences provided by JA, particularly through their BizTown program, where students take on roles like CEO and sales manager, allowing them to learn about business operations and the economy. While many participants enjoyed the activities and found them informative, some noted that the program's pacing could be improved, with interruptions that occasionally wasted time. Overall, Junior Achievement is highly recommended for its ability to transform student experiences and make learning relevant and exciting, helping to energize students about academics and their future possibilities.
