Loprinzi's Gym is an absolute treasure and a piece of Portland history, having been open since 1947. It is a gym very proud of its history, rich in preservation, and feels like stepping back in time. The environment is supportive, no fuss, and provides a great training environment for people who are serious about and enjoy training, with very friendly and knowledgeable people. The equipment is sturdy and robust, featuring original chain-driven Nautilus equipment, globe dumbbells, and plenty of power bars, squat bars, deadlift bars, and sturdy chin-up bars. While the machines and equipment show their age, they are extremely well-maintained and in good shape, forcing you to push and pull honest weight. It offers everything you need and nothing you don't. The membership rates are much more reasonable than big box gyms, making it an affordable and best option for those traveling or looking for a temporary training environment. A heads up is that parking can sometimes back up to surrounding side streets, though it is not a bad neighborhood, and it can get crowded during peak times. This gym is a part of vintage strength training history and is definitely worth a visit.
Looks amazing... But just because the equipment is experienced doesn't mean you disrespect it by never replacing the leather or vinal covers.

Man I loved going to this gym this week! I come to Portland a couple times a year and they gave me 10 passes with no expiration date for $60 plus they are right down the road from where I stay.

Definitely an old school gym for experienced lifting. Some of the machines are not super intuitive but solid as a rock and has everything you need. Has a good neighborhood feel, great selection of free weights, a pool, and is the cheapest gym in town with a cool history.
