Motel 6 Portland - Downtown is a very basic, budget-friendly option in a great location. The motel is within easy walking distance of main public transportation, trains, and buses, making it convenient for exploring the city. Rooms are clean and big with comfortable beds and daily housekeeping, though the décor is minimalistic. They are very basic, typically lacking a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, or wardrobe. The staff at the front desk are consistently noted as friendly, helpful, and attentive. While the price and location offer good value, the experience can vary. Some guests report remarkably clean rooms and towels, while others mention dirty walls, unclean towels, or lingering smoke smells. Amenities are limited; guests should bring their own shampoo and body soap. Overall, for a decent, no-frills stay in Portland, this Motel 6 provides a practical and cost-effective solution, with many guests stating they would stay again.

Guy working front counter was unprofessional rude & aggressive. We asked to switch rooms because the people next to us were loud and he seemed bothered to help us!! We will not be staying here again. We reserved 2 nights but left after the 1st night.
