“I recently stayed at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience in every way.

Rooms:
The room was incredibly spacious, modern, and spotless. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the high-quality toiletries to the plush towels and crisp linens. The room also had a beautiful view, which made relaxing after a long day even more enjoyable. The temperature control was perfect, and the room was always quiet, providing a restful environment for sleep.

Service:
The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. Check-in was quick and easy, and any request I had was promptly attended to. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room neat.

Location:
The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We were staying because the hospital was nearby and had an extended stay at this hotel.... Public transportation is conveniently nearby, but I found walking around to be just as pleasant. The hotel offered valet parking or street parking was available as well. It’s a nice, clean area, so despite being centrally located, I enjoyed a peaceful stay.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would choose to stay here again!”

“Love the location of the hotel. In a very quiet part of town with free street car access nearby. The room was very clean and large. Definitely would stay again, especially for longer trips since the room included a refrigerator and a stove and a microwave and a dishwasher. The breakfast was pretty standard cold continental fare (e.g. hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal).”

“Nice hotel that I have stayed at many times before usually on business trips. Right across the street from the airport and very close to any other place you may want to visit in the Portland area. I don’t write many reviews but in this case I felt it was well deserved. One of the evenings I was there we ate at the restaurant in the main lobby where we met our host and server Indir. He did such a great job and was very friendly and funny. Traits that you rarely find in customer service these days which is why I wanted to share my experience. Food and drinks were great. I will definitely be back. Thank you Indir!”

“Good location. Close to the airport. Right under the approach path for the main runway. Shuttle service is not 24 hour. Early departures need a lyft to get to the airport.”

“Staff is the BEST! Rooms are great if you know that its an old building. Some rooms have bathrooms and some don't but they have plenty available on each floor. The soaking pool is open to 1am which is so nice after a show.”

“We were here for a night and the service was very good. Tara was courteous and efficient with her customer service. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Not to mention, it is 3 miles from the airport for convenience.”

“Every wednesday night they have a free comedy show, it was such a good time! Their drinks a good too, cocktails were strong and they had a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks, including CBD seltzers.”

“I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I stayed in the bunks and they were really comfortable for the price paid. The linens were clean but there was trash behind the lock box.
The area is really walkable but has a homeless population. They pretty well stick to themselves though. The building is locked 24/7 and you either buzz in or use your key.
There was a silverfish in the bathroom. But that isnt too surprising because it's an old building. No signs of mold anywhere. The bathrooms were really clean and the conditioner was really nice.
Definitely going to stay here again.”

“Quiet hotel. Pleasent staff. No pool or hot tub. Only valet parking but close parking g garages priced decent. Unfortunately the tavern was closed so we missed having that option”

“4.5/5 rounded up

Had a great staycation here this past weekend.

The room was clean and nicely set up. Bed was comfy and they had the basics covered: coffeemaker, robes, and toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap).

Service was excellent. Every staff I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The room was ready a few hours early, and when I asked for a noon check out, they were like, sure thing!

Room service is available but very limited, so better eat nearby or order delivery. Tons of options within walking distance.

Only downside wasn’t really the hotel’s fault, tho it would've been nice if the hotel had better soundproofing. There’s a bar/club at Sentinel Hotel across the street, and it got annoyingly loud around 2 am on Saturday night (or I guess early Sunday morning). Woke up to ungodly sounds of yelling, drunk people being rowdy, cars honking, etc. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend asking for a higher floor or a room facing Alder instead of 11th.

Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. Great option as long as you’re okay with a bit of late-night street noise.”

“Love the unusual layout of the corner room. Splendid bar on the ground floor. So many things to walk to. Flawless blackout curtains for sleeping in. Parking included!

Update January 2026. Still awesome. Hey Love bar in the lobby has excellent cocktails and noshes.
Great neighborhood for shops, dining, just a ton of small businesses (bike shop, coffee place, botanical goods). Also, as a guest you can take advantage of discounts on many of those local businesses. Felt totally safe walking around at all hours.”

“Enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and Powells books! Tope bar on 9th floor cozy. Restaurant has a nice adjacent sitting area to read or scroll”

“What a fantastic hotel. Loved every interaction with the staff from the front desk, security, client services, restaurants and event support. Everyone was so lovely and appeared to enjoy their jobs. The hotel itself feels unique in its own mini eco-system mixed with design, art and thoughtful touches. I appreciated every detail. I felt safe, supported and proud to sponsor an event at the hotel. The room was lovely, clean and quiet.”

“Great location to be walkable to all the good stuff. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and there are bikes you can rent for free to take around town. Also nice touches like welcome snack in the room. Would stay again”

“It's been a very pleasant stay. I appreciate the location and friendly staff. Could always use a nice discount however, for the area, its a very fair priced experience.”

“Super convenient locations for events at Moda. We were on the Denny's side on the 5th floor and there was no outside noise, just typical ac noise. But very quiet overall. Staff was great, very responsive and friendly. Rooms were very nice and clean. Only downside was the shower - the floor was a little slick and ai held on to the bar as much as possible. The shower head is a gravity feed only about 8 inches from the wall so hard to get your body under the shower head. On the last morning there was no hot water. But all in all a good experience and I would stay here again. The bar at the top of the motel was great with really nice view and good food options.”

“2 things: the clothes steamer blew up because it was so clogged, scalding water all over me... whatever tho, the only other thing is 3 am the guests were hanging out in the hallway and being SUPER loud. But... I loved the feel, the vibe, the rooms, and their flexibility. All hotels should be more like them..”

“Great staff let me hide in the lobby for a while, even gave me a cherry coke and a snack. Clean environment, friendly folk, and a good spot in the city for a fun trip. I recommend every time!”

“This is the best and cleanest Holiday Inn I have stayed in yet. Location is very convenient, staff is friendly, great breakfast, and again hotel is very clean. Next time I fly in from Texas, I will definitely be staying here.”

4 Good158 Reviews

“The room is overpriced for what you get. The front desk lady didn't seem very homely. But the bar was great, no matter how expensive the drinks were. 10$ shot an 7$ imported beer i think. For 120$ plus tax, it's Def not the Holiday Inn.”

“I stayed three nights at Evermore Guesthouse, and the stay was completely delightful!!! The house was beautiful, clean, and incredibly well kept. The breakfast offerings were excellent and fresh. I could not have been more pleased with the accommodations.”

“Staff very helpful, room very big but its an older hotel so not the most modern bathrooms and worn interior. Free reception in evening is nice and great breakfast buffet but they need more lighting in breakfast room. Biggest complaint was air conditioning in rooms was weak and cant control room temp.”

“The Sentinel was so welcoming, from the first email that said how glad they were that we chose their hotel to the wonderful staff that completely cared for us likewise were long lost friends. We went to a concert at the Chrystal Ballroom and the hotel was perfectly located for grabbing delicious food on the way or in the hotel itself. Just a truly wonderful experience and we would stay again in a heartbeat!

Big plusses for us were the comfy beds and delicious warm showers with great water pressure: )”

“Room was very spacious and maintained well.
Good breakfast (one of the days they ran out of milk).
Nice friendly staff and conveniently situated. Lots of parking and free wifi.”

“A good hotel with a few drawbacks that make it hard to give a 5-star. The rooms were clean, the shower got hot and had good water pressure, the bed was comfortable and the temperature control in the room worked well. The only things I disliked was the windows and the lack of sound-proofing. The windows specifically have a view of the tent and also the walkway past your room, not great for privacy so the blinds are a must.

For a reasonable price, with great location and service I'd be happy to go again when I'm in the area.”

“It’s perfect location. I would suggest to park at the Douglas Parking which is just couple of feet down the Road by the Roundabout. The parking is vallet only and super expensive. The room was clean and service was great! The breakfast is absolutely delicious and have lot food options.”
