I strongly recommend you avoid unnecessary frustration and inconvenience. This is our local USPS facility, and unfortunately, it is the least reliable I have experienced. I have given them four opportunities to improve, but it appears the issue lies with their service. We have had two letters lost entirely that never reached their destination, both of which contained birthday cards with gift cards. We were informed that their machines sometimes damage letters and that we should use tracking and insurance; however, what good is tracking if the items don't even leave their facility? We attempted to send another birthday card with a gift card, which was posted two weeks ago and still has not arrived. This is not the worst case, though. I mailed a letter on October 8th, and as of October 30th, it still has not been delivered. I can no longer rely on USPS given their explanations and the recurring issues with their service.

Super rude stand-in carrier encountered while trying to understand options for mail apparently stolen from my residential box. Thinking this is my local PO, and wanting to report (both), I called the phone number listed three times, at different times. Regardless, the call rings until you're automatically disconnected, or receive a busy tone.

Extremely rude Asian woman at the counter on March 4, 2025 who was working with passports. I'll NEVER return again. Fire her, please.

I print my own shipping labels to have my packages ready to drop off in the drop box. Today it was broken. I went in and one person was at the counter but then went to go get some form to fill out as she was directed. I attempted to ask the tall unnecessarily rude clerk with the pony tail if I could drop off my package. I didn't interrupt his transaction with the customer as I previously said, they were getting some forms to fill out so they were not currently at the counter. He told me to wait in line as he was "helping another customer" but, as I said, she wasn't currently at the counter. So I waited and then noticed they had a spot further down at the counter for "parcel drop off." That was all I needed to know. He could have simply directed me to the temporary package drop-off and I'd be on my way. But instead he chose to be obstinate and rude. I let him know that's all I was looking for and he started yelling at me. It took a lot more energy for him to be nasty when all he had to do was direct me to where the temporary package drop off was.

This is a governmental agency who’s been chronically underfunded and understaffed. You are supposed to expect delays and slow delivery times. That said, I have never had a bad experience in this location. All employees are efficient and pleasant. You can now do a very short survey by scanning the QR code on your receipt or the signs inside the building.

DElivery person that is connected to this office is delivering the wrong mail. Today several Dosch Rd addressed mail was just rubber banded and thrown in our mailbox. They are either blind or lazy??? Called the Multnomah office and no answer.

Occasionally a package too big for the mailbox will be left at the door, 20ft away. Most often it's just left out in the rain. Today it was a valuable out of print book, left out on the porch rail. Sometimes packages on the porch rail just get blown down into the shrubbery 15 feet below the deck. Other times theyr'e just left to get water logged. 20 feet away, the front door, is the place where UPS and Amazon leave packages - and the USPS, when someone feels like it. Spent 20 minutes trying to call Multnomah station - nobody ever answers. The USPS 800 number is an endless loop, there is no person there.

I’ve had local mail sent to me over two weeks ago almost 3, and I still haven’t received it. And then when I called down there, they don’t answer. It seems like they have some terrible employees.

I get it, and I also don't get all the negative reviews for the post office. This is a governmental agency, you're supposed to expect delays and slowness in service. On top of that they've been having budget cuts for years so if you don't live under a rock, you would know this is a common occurrence. That said, I've never had bad service from the employees and this location. Yes, The lines go slow but they're really good at keeping it moving even during the busiest times. Because of COVID-19 they have added screens in between customers and employees. This is a good move because t

It's a small, beautifully kept post office. I would have had delivery issues if it hadn't been for the nice person behind the counter who helped me correct the issue before I sent it. Thank you!

Positive - friendly staff. However, make sure that you are willing to spend time here if you are going. There is no hurry to get through the line quickly no matter how long the line is.

Had already multiple past negative experiences in this office. Since it is the nearest one, I went back again to send a parcel. After I picked up a box and placed my stuff in, I was looking some soft materials in my car to fill the gaps. The clerk started yelling at me behind her counter. Nowhere had anyone called me in such a way with no respect at all. I came back to her, and she said this box is for purchase assuming I would take it away without paying! I told her I need to pack BEFORE sending it! She is so rude, not knowing how to speak to customers. I reserve my additional words here.
