The Multnomah Post Office is a friendly neighborhood and governmental agency. It is a small and beautifully kept location. Customers note that as a chronically underfunded and understaffed agency, delays and slow service are to be expected. Lines can be slow, often 10-15 minutes long, especially during busy times. Picking an early hour can lead to a quick and easy visit. Despite this, many reviewers have never had a bad experience or bad service at this location. All employees are described as efficient, pleasant, and really good at keeping the line moving. They are helpful in correcting delivery issues. The team does their best, with staff who explain things simply and prioritize customers to avoid long waits. Due to COVID-19, there are protective screens in place. A significant concern involves the drive-thru mailbox, where letters have been seen falling out, even well before the posted pickup time. It is advised to mail letters inside for security. Customers can complete a short survey by scanning a QR code on receipts or signs.
I've had a PO box here for a couple years. Super convenient 24 hour lobby, means I can go check my mail on my schedule. I've done passport services here as well. The staff is great. Joy is amazing. She's fast and friendly. I highly recommend this post office.

Went in for a passport appointment, showed up 15 minutes early (it requests you show up 10 minutes ahead) I waited for maybe 10 minutes while the younger man ahead of me finished up; the gentlemen working the counter was so professional and had all the answers to every question before it was even asked 🤗
