Oregon Humane Society is the largest animal welfare organization in the Northwest, with campuses in Portland and Salem. A nonprofit organization that receives no government funding, OHS relies on donor support to provide a wide variety of services from pet adoption, training, humane law enforcement, veterinary care, humane education, and disaster response. OHS puts no time limits on how long animals remain at the shelter—a pet stays available for adoption as long as needed to find a loving home. Visitors praise the dedication of the staff, who are caring, compassionate, and extremely helpful. The shelter is described as magical, with a nearly empty kennel area, indicating a high adoption rate. Although some animals may be unavailable due to recent adoptions or medical treatment, the overall experience is reported as pleasant, with visitors appreciating the time and care provided by the excellent staff.
This was a great place to have my kittens fixed. I was able to add on extras like chipping, nail clipping, ear cleaning, etc. Drop off and pick up on the same day.

This place is magical. You feel the dedication from staff when you walk in. Everyone is so willing to help and kind! I didn't end up adopting here but I foster through OHS and I love how they treat all their pets. Definitely recommend ohs to anyone looking for their next forever friend
