I have very fine, very straight hair that is pretty unforgiving, resulting in my fair share of disappointing hair cuts over the years. The stylist I’ve had for 7 yrs is pretty far away but the past 2 times I’ve tried someone new I didn’t have a great experience so I kept making the long drive.
I had my first cut with Kristen a few weeks ago and WOW did she do a fantastic job. My hair looks great whether it air dries or I style it, and the layers she gave me add dimension and shape without looking scraggly or thin. I will definitely return to her next time I need a cut! Thanks Kristen!!

I’ve been seeing Christine for over a year now and she is the best. I’ve never been happier with how my hair looks. She does an amazing job of listening to what you want, and following through completely. I always leave my appointments in the best headspace.

A friend referred me to Christine Conklin at this studio and I'm so pleased with the haircut she gave me and the whole experience. She was communicative leading up to the appointment and a delight to talk to. She knew just how to cut my hair to bring out the curls and volume. The salon is a lovely and comfortable space. Can't wait to get some color work next time.

I’ve heard the saying that stylists are “beauticians not magicians,” but here I’ve got to disagree. I had such an excellent experience at this salon with Courtney, she’s honestly a wizard with scissors. I came in with the vague request to shorten my thick, heavy wavy hair, and Courtney did a stellar job and left me feeling like a new, happier person with the cutest cut that was textured and layered and left me feeling light and downright whimsical. I didn’t even know exactly what I wanted, but Courtney gave me above and beyond what I could’ve dreamed up and probably the best hair cut I’ve ever gotten in my 30+ years. It’s fun and fashionable and I’m so pleased. I’ll happily entrust my hair to her for as long as she’ll have me.

I found my spot! I love the vibe in here with plants and such for sale. They played great tunes and it seems like they use great products. And, I already love Courtney after one visit. I love my color and how it looks more natural. I'll be back!

Everyone here is so friendly and positive, and they do fantastic work without any fancy salon attitude. I found Lona because I was looking for someone who could work with my textured hair that continues to get even more willful as it greys - I read she was very talented with hair like mine and I'm so glad I trusted the reviews! She cuts great hair, and is an absolute delight. Highly recommend Pinn Salon!

I moved to Portland six years ago. My journey to find a new stylist has been expensive and disheartening. I went to all the "best" salons and ended up with some really bad hair. When I wanted soft pink color I got frizzy, troll doll fuchsia that stained everything. Including my Bose headphones. But the absolute worst experience was leaving the salon with a MULLET!! I had asked for a shag style cut. Now, I am not super picky to the point that I cry if I get a bad cut. That being said, I bought a wig and some spare hair. I was that mortified. But then, I found COURTNEY!! *queue the angels singing*. She is the best hairstylist I've found, and I'm 53 so I've been around the block. She knows exactly what I want, and what would look best. My cut is perfect, and the color? It's so beautiful. I get compliments all of the time. She's super sweet, and fun to talk to. I am so glad I found her! I highly recommend Courtney.
