Plaid Pantry is a Portland-owned and operated convenience store chain that has been serving customers in the Pacific Northwest since 1963. Known for providing quick and accessible snacks and beverages, the store features a diverse selection of products and friendly, familiar staff. Customers appreciate the convenience of locations, such as one near a friend's apartment that offers an Amazon locker for easy package pickup. The locker process is straightforward—customers just input their code to retrieve packages—but some find the locker area messy and the parking limited due to a small plaza. While many staff members are kind and helpful, experiences vary. Some customers mention encountering rude or unprofessional behavior from certain employees, including spilled hot coffee and dismissive attitudes, which can detract from the overall experience. Others note that the store can feel a little dirty and that the entrance is not very accessible, which is a concern for some customers. Despite occasional issues, the store maintains a welcoming atmosphere for many, with some customers feeling they receive more kindness than others, possibly influenced by personal appearance or disability. The store’s setup, such as the "purchase before you pour" cups, sometimes gives an impression of distrust, which can be disheartening in a community-oriented environment. Overall, Plaid Pantry offers a convenient, familiar shopping experience with friendly staff, though customer service quality can vary.
They're not 24 hours anymore. They close for about an hour SEVERAL times after dark. This is done at random so you never know if they'll open. I stopped going there at night, after they locked the door on me while I was reaching for the handle.

It would be helpful if they could consider posting a more specific timeframe instead of just saying "back soon." Providing an estimate like "back in 10 or 30" would be great.
