Plaid Pantry is a Portland-based convenience store chain serving the Pacific Northwest since 1963. Known for providing quick and accessible snacks and beverages, it is staffed by friendly, local employees who greet customers warmly and often engage in friendly chats. The stores are generally clean and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere. Customers appreciate the fast service, especially for drinks, treats, and snacks, making it a popular spot for quick errands. Despite some negative experiences, such as rude treatment at closing time, many reviews highlight the staff's dedication and effort, especially given the area's challenges. Overall, Plaid Pantry is considered a nice, convenient place for residents and visitors to get what they need quickly and comfortably.
Employees Ive met are kind and happy to help. The outside/location looks a little rough but really I've had 0 issues. Not sure what other reviewers expect the store to do about the people outside of it lol Plaid is open longer than a lot of the nearby convince stores. Good selection. They also take ebt :)

Despite the sketchy look of this place, it has served me and countless other people very well throughout the years. Hours are awesome.
Big shout out to Mike for being polite, knowledgeable, and quick in the challenging late night shift role.
Incredible staff!

Probably do a footage review from 8/11/24 at between 4:10am and 4:25am to see what exactly that clerk was doing on the counter.
