“I’ve come to love this location. When they first opened, getting used to a new layout was a thing but not a problem. It smacked in the middle of my commute to work so it’s super convenient, the employees are always friendly and helpful, and I can generally find what I need and get in and out quickly when I need to. Parking is never a problem.”

“Stopped in looking for soursop, they didn’t have it but did carry some sea moss gel with soursop. Their sea moss collection is top tier, I picked up a couple of the coconut waters. I also stumbled upon their organic dried mango and it was the best I’ve ever had.
The store is very clean and organized. I love the concept on zero waste!”

“We have moved over 20 miles further out away from Portland and yet we still travel to this wonderful produce market, and quite frankly, a whole lot of other things that this wonderful place provides. Today, in the middle of January, we walked into the market and it was relatively quiet for a Thursday morning and everything was displayed so attractively and not a distressed or rotten piece of produce anywhere! Everything so tidy and everything so fresh looking. This place never lets me down. Their workers are always busy grooming and tidying up produce row. They had pickling cucumbers! They had beautiful heads of endive that will make a great Caesar salad! The broccoli was absolutely pristine. I wanted some fruit but I'm so skeptical about ripeness and yet the wife grabbed a perfect pineapple and by Sunday it's going to be so nice and juicy. These folks pay attention to the small details. Nobody wants bruised apples. Nobody wants tired and old produce. Everything here is wonderful. I even had to grab a loaf of cranberry orange bread as they have added more baked goods to entice you as you wait in line. I highly recommend growers outlet for their continued dedication and effort in providing extremely high quality produce.”

“We make a weekly trip to our Grocery Outlet to buy things like green plantains, mixed nuts, Lara bars, kombucha, and avocado oil. These items are priced below other grocery stores but we cannot depend on them being in stock. The only downside of shopping here is that they are often stocking shelves, making it tough to get around the store.”

“Really good vegan selection of items, I find prices very reasonable compared to Kroger, new seasons, etc. I come here often for odds & ends but specifically the Dos Hermonos sourdough sandwich bread. Staff are nice. Organic produce is pretty good. Doesn’t smell like nasty meat or seafood. (Unfortunately since shoofly closed, they do not offer vegan pastries anymore ?)”
“La Bouffe has all of the unique difficult to find artisan high quality items with regular staple items too! They carry fresh scrumptious bulk spices like zaatar, sumac, falafel mix, etc. Free olive oil tastings, sometimes wine tastings (during the Montavilla Street Fair). pita, sardines, Turkish Delights, Lebanese olive oil, very large wine selection, too many nummy foods to list them all! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. One of Portland’s best international markets by far!”
“Okay, i understand that this store is nolonger in it's former glory however, they do have a decent selection of appreciated wines, to be exact, Sphinx cabernet chauvignon! Also, I'll just say the employees are still just amazing as ever.”

“I just became a co-op member and I'm so glad I did! The bulk section is phenomenal and they don't sell any meat in store. Some items are cheaper than other places, some are more expensive, but I love buying local to support the lovely store. It is a bit small, so be prepared for potential traffic jams/pileups. Masks are preferred in store but not required”

“Great corner store to have in a neighborhood. They don't carry much on the way of ready-to-go deli or protein shakes, which I'd enjoy.
But they make up for that in general pantry, dairy, and what not.
The layout is a little untraditional or.. corporate, which does allow them to stock more.
It's a clean place with a good set of options.”
