I was a little skeptical from reading the reviews that were bad but gave the Mazda service center a try, super happy I did. 11/10 experience getting my car worked on, Thor is a gem, no way y'all paying him enough because he's fantastic. Will definitely be back if I run into issues in the future.

We went to Ron Tonkin looking for a specific used Mazda CX-5 and Michael showed us the car and took us on a test drive.
He was a super nice, polite and friendly guy. After the drive we asked them for their best price. We didn't have a price expectation, but we're clear, there was a zero percent chance we we were doing a deal that instant as we had other cars we were considering.
They presented us with an offer, we thanked them and left for the evening to think about it alongside others car choices.
In the morning we called back to accept the offer. After a wait, we were told that offer was not valid and should not have been presented to us.
Whether this was a shady negotiating technique or a mistake, we were disappointed that an on paper offer was not honored just 12 hours later.

This was by far the best and easiest car buying experience I have ever had. Elijah was great to work with, friendly, kind, answered all of my questions and was very professional. We started the process online and finished in person. I never felt pressured and feel like I got a good price for the car I chose. Jenny the finance person was also great to work with! I do not recommend this dealership. I bought a used 2016 Mazda CX-5 from them. The sales manager assured me that the car was in excellent condition and that they provided a warranty. After a month of use, I discovered problems with the brakes. I went back to them, expecting they would fix the issues, SINCE THEY ARE AN OFFICIAL DEALER. In the end, they charged me for diagnostics (about $100) and told me… that I had a problem with the brakes and that it was not covered by the warranty… and they can fix it, but I should pay for this!!! As if I didn’t already know what the problem with the car was. I regret that I was a bit confused at that moment and paid for the diagnostics… I will never return to this dealership again. I love Mazda, but my next car will definitely be bought from another dealer. Extremely negative experience. I do not recommend buying cars here to anyone!

Bought a brand new 2021 Mazda 3 hatchback back in 2021. After 4,000 miles low engine light would come on from the very beginning of ownership. The technicians and management said that there was a shortage on a certain part during engine production so they used some part off a diesel engine that wasn’t a right match. After many complaints they “fixed” the issue but the problem with oil consumption still persisted. Now they don’t know what else to do and my warranty is running out so now I’ll be stuck with a bad car and it doesn’t look like they want to make this right. Spoke with 2 managers Tim Vargas (who’s unfortunately does not work there anymore) and spoke with the new young manager Juan Chapa yesterday who looked at me and said that there’s nothing he can do and gave me the customer service number (WHAT A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE). Now it’s 2024 and I still have the same issue… CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT GOOD AT ALL. They keep delaying the issue and I feel like when the warranty runs out they are just going to leave me in a dust. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THAT DEALERSHIP AT ALL. THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER YOU BUY A CAR THERE. IF THERE WAS AN OPTION FOR 0/10 I WOULD GIVE THEM 0.

Was trying to work a deal with Vy Co on a CX-50. Got a few quotes over email. During negotiations, was informed of a quote over the phone which seemed too good to be true. But would not provide in writing. Was asked to come to store to test drive and possibly pickup the vehicle. While at store, was informed that the vehicle was not in stock anymore and they need to bring another from the lot. Test drive was good. After sometime, turns out they were not able to locate the same trim in the lot as it was a weekend - everyone seemed to be busy. Was asked if I was willing to consider other trim or model for similar price point. Seemed to be a classic bait and switch approach from the manager. Basically it was a waste of 3 hours of time for all involved. Vy would communicate till the end and could have just told me they won't go any lower than their original quote. Just felt like the customers time is not valued here. Got the same deal at another dealership which I had on hold. Would suggest you look around before shopping here. I would be cautious about using Tonkin in the future for sales or service based on this experience.

Purchased a 2024 Mazda CX-5 Premium model from Tonkin Mazda of Portland. Every part of the shopping process went very well.
Vy Co was our contact and she met with us on a Tuesday afternoon. After we decided on trim level and color options, which Vy was extremely knowledgeable about, we told her to find one and set it up for the following night. Vy did as she promised and we made the deal the very next day. Would recommend working with Vy!
Financing went well. Paid cash so no drama. Worked with Jeremy to close out the deal. Jeremy can keep you entertained throughout this process so don't be shy! Wish we would have received the full invoice for the purchase and paper copies of the extras offered. I did reach out to Tonkin but have yet to receive the details.
All in all, a good experience.
