“I'm in my 5th year living one mile south of Gold Hill and Dollar General has always been here. When I went in to Post Office to change my address the clerk started telling me about how to shop for groceries in the town while customers in line chimed in. They all said mainly. . .go to Dollar General! There's no fresh produce or meat aside from lunch meats. However they offer some frozen meats. You can't beat the prices. Eggs, milk,cheeses,pizza,micro dinners,O.J.s,sparkling waters,soda pops,beers, wine,baking supplies such as flour,sugar,baking powder,vanilla,cakes,frosting,Arts & crafts,pet aisle,automotive dept,bath products from toilet paper to body washes,bath rugs,OTC products at health aisle, hygiene aisle, cigs, balloons,Ducks Ts,hats sweatshirt/pants, on & on. . .EXCELLENT, FUN yet EFFICIENT STAFF. . . !! Service is terrific. Need I say that I love to shop there after all this AND my 5 star rating?
I'd like to add: It's a shame to make them work until 10:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Unless they voted for it. That's ALL,except this. . .

“Although they don't stock all of my favorite items, I still often shop this store. They have a good variety of fresh and frozen foods. There are natural foods and vegetarian options in ready made food. Good quality produce at a good price for this area. They have a filtered water dispenser for a modest fee per gallon. I dont eat meat so no comment other than, fresh and pre packed available in abundant suppy and variety. I am a bit dissatisfied with the quality of some of the frozen seafood offerings. My interactions with various employees have all been positive. It is a clean and respectable store.
Checkout takes a while, but moves quickly once you are up thanks to the two sided bagging areas. Don't forget to bring bags.”
