Good campground. The showers on the RV loop are hotter than at the tent sites. Clean up foods promptly, the raccoons and skunks are friendly and would like to have dinner with you.

Smith Creek Village cabins are comfortable, but definitely not posh. Our cabin had two twin beds, a bathroom with a shower, a tv, a coffee maker, a refrigerator, and a microwave. It is conveniently located near the Big Leaf Coffeehouse and a short drive from South Falls.Food options at the park are limited (the reason for the 3 stars for service) especially during the week, so be prepared to either drive out of the park for dinner, or bring something to microwave most days. Bag lunches can also be ordered in advance, and I believe South Falls Cafe (near South Falls in the park) serves food daily from 10 am until 4 pm daily. The new Big Leaf Coffeehouse serves dinner on weekends, breakfast on weekdays, and a Sunday brunch. Of course, these may change over time and perhaps by season, so check first. The reservation people were very informative in this regard. We were pleased with the accommodation overall. Nothing fancy, but this is rustic park accommodation. The cabins are reasonably priced, clean, and comfortable. Being able to spend time at the Falls and relax in our room afterward was well worth it.I have stayed at the cabins several times over the past decade and would definitely recommend them.If you want a slightly more "Temperate Rainforest" experience, ask for the Upper Smith Creek cabins, a little further out in the woods, with a shared shower facility and outside firepit (fires may not always be permitted).

We booked a tiny cabin and got an "upgrade" to a big house that looked it would be rented out by a boyscout group or something. It was okay. Very clean which is great. Bare bones amenities which was fine. Not a resort by any means. The little restaurant on the grounds was the best part. It's quite nice and the food was really good. Great spot to start the day before hiking/biking.Rooms: Bare bones. Just a bed and some night side tables.Nearby activities: Great hiking and mountain biking.Food & drinks: Coffee and food was great at the restaurant on site.

We had our wedding at smith creek village and stayed two nights in the Calypso cottage. We used the ceremony meadow for our ceremony and McKenzie meadow for our reception. The park is such a beautiful setting and was perfect for our wedding and photos! The calypso cottage was roomy and comfortable. We had a DIY wedding and the staff helped us move our stuff to the ceremony and reception areas for set up. We hope to be back to stay again soon!

Great place to stay for any event. Restaurant food is good, if overpriced. But then it’s worth it to be up in such an awesome environment. My go to place for coffee whenever I hike in the park. The tiny cabins are awesome, clean and comfy.

Tiny cabin FCheck in: easy! Just pick up your check-in packet near the restaurantPros: the cabin was super cute and clean. Came with coffee, coffee maker, mini fridge, TP, towels, cups, tissue, all bedding tuff, futon, soaps, including solid shampoo and conditioner. The heater also worked great.Easy to park and also a short walk to the shower stalls.Cons: our cabin did not have any tables in or outside, so it was hard to eat anything. Cabin C and G(from where we saw) had a covered porch but not ours. It rained on our 2nd night which could have been so nice to sit on a porch :( NO WIFI OR CELL SERVICE at all. They give you a number to contact in case of emergency or for other services, but I was not able to connect at all, so that was a bit ironic ?To note: it can get cold at night, so a jacket is def recommend. No stores near by. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks.Overall, we loved our stay and would come back soon Another thing is that, their website doesn't have too much information in detail, so that's why I am leaving this looong review, hoping that this will help someone plan their trip better!

Have stayed at small cottage as well as the more accommodating cottage (Calypso). Small cabins have toilet and sink. Great step up from traditional camping. Clean. Calypso has more comfy sleeping accommodations, kitchen and tv. One bedroom. Roku was pretty much useless due to extremely inadequate internet...but just load a fire and watch that. Has a large soaking tub, but hot water was like internet. Great shower tho. Could use upgrade on kitchen utensils, plates and such. We had to ask for glasses and coffee cups (due to short staffing, place was not supplied as expected). A little disappointing for price of Calypso. Perhaps small, bare minimum cabins would have suffice for our two nite stay.

So we were there dying of thirst all we wanted was to get a couple bottles of water and leave so I parked behind the restaurant when this woman with an over-grown authoritarian complex comes out of herlittle shed and start sticking to me you can't park there in her shrill screeching voice. Yes they were many spots available it was a play parking and we were going to be there for no more than about 3 minutes but, no the screeching hag decides to come in and chase us away nice work you did your job hope you can feel good about yourself. I won't be back here again.Noteworthy details: Idiot in guard shack

My husband and I had our wedding at the village and stayed there for a couple nights. The room itself was great but the wedding coordination could use some work.First thing is that when we arrived at the village, it was 2:57 pm. We knew that check in was at 3. So, we waited in our car till 3 and went to grab our self-check in kit. It wasn’t in the location that was specified in the email I received. We waited about five more minutes and nobody came out to the place that the self-check in stuff would have been. We went to the main office and informed the event coordinator that we couldn’t find our stuff for check in. She let us know that check in wasn’t until three. I kept my mouth shut because I wanted to inform her that it was indeed 3 o’clock like she said. However, we simply thanked her for going out of her way to find our self check in items despite the confusion.Secondly, the event coordinator was absent for both of our scheduled meeting times. She called the first time, but we waited for about ten minutes at the restaurant (where she told us to meet) without any sort of communication the second time. We went to speak with the main office and they informed us that the coordinator was not at work that day and that we would be speaking to someone else. The person standing in place of the coordinator was very sweet and very accommodating. However, it seems like everything we spoke about and planned didn’t reach the coordinator. I was very excited about getting purple and yellow napkins since our wedding was on the summer solstice and it reminded us of Tangled, but we only had white napkins come the day of the wedding. Also, we spoke about a “getting ready space” which was almost a surprise to the coordinator when I spoke to her the day before the wedding.Speaking of the “getting ready space”, the door was locked when we got there. Luckily there was a lovely employee already working in the area of the village who was able to unlock the door for us. She told us, and I quote, that we were lucky that she was there. If I was locked out and had to hunt down someone to open that meeting hall, I would have been late to my own wedding. In summation, there definitely needs to be some more preparation and focus into the weddings that you guys are coordinating. I was disappointed to say the least, but figured it would be best to hold in my disappointment until after the wedding. My friends and family made the wedding day very magical and I was in love with the location but I definitely felt blind sided by the village staff’s performance and lack of attention to detail.

Took my mother to meet friends for brunch and it was lovely. Completely wheelchair/ ADA accessible, delicious food, generous portions, yummy lattes, super lovely staff and the atmosphere was so relaxing. 3 hrs later we reluctantly pulled ourselves away from the restaurant to walk the grounds. Great place for a "no reason" brunch or even a celebratory brunch (e.g. promotion, Mother's Day). Absolutely worth the drive and will for sure be back!

Awesome, gorgeous location, cute mini cabin, lots of space for 4 ppl, only con about the cabin is that the wood they give for a fire doesn’t burn at all, just chars. And it was completely dry wood. The food was okay, salmon was pretty good. But they literally had one waitress who was also their barista and seemed to be a receptionist type at the restaurant part. Lots to put one one girl. Took like 30 min to get our coffee out, which i didn’t mind because its such a great atmosphere, but she just had too much to do. Somewhere said there was spotty service and no wifi but they actually had great service and wifi.

We stayed in a dual cabin here May 17th-19th and the room was great, clean, quiet surroundings and so pretty right outside the cabin. We had breakfast at the restaurant which was literally 30 yards from our cabin. Service was a little slow but the servers were so kind and polite and helpful and the food was great! You can order to go and sack lunches for the road. The parking lot for the 10 waterfalls trail is only 2 miles from the cabin. We hike regularly and completed the entire 7.8 mile 10 falls hike in about 3.5 hours taking our time. We ate lunch at the falls trail head lodge (order at the window) and the food was great! Went back to our cabin for a nap and then went back to hike the falls again ending at Sunset where we had the trails all to ourselves! Such a great part of our PNW adventure. Our next door cabin mates said they hiked several miles on a trail right next to the cabin.Nearby activities: There was a big field of grass for families to play on and some game equipment to share. The restaurant had a large outside patio with lights and fire pit if I remember correctly.Walkability: Little paths and trails right outside the cabin.

What an interesting place. The cabin is tiny, hence the name. It has a coffee, tiny fridge, toilet room and sink. Showers are in the lower building. Just a little bit of a walk up from the jeep but we are in the middle of the forest. These are hotel service tiny cabins with towels, hot water (tiny water heater), bed with sheets and blankets and pillows. There is no WiFi in the upper tiny cabins area but they are working on it. It's not your state park cabin. It's almost a full hotel room in the woods. The attraction is not the cabins, it's the park. The upper tiny cabins are in the forest just a few steps away from smith creek trail. Take a map with you and water. You are walking into the backwoods. I'm here for the mountain biking. Three days two night of good trails. Food? There are two grills in the park. Big Leaf Coffeehouse and Grill, and South Falls Cafe in the day use area near, you guessed it, south falls. Big Leaf is open for breakfast and lunch on Weekdays but also dinner on weekends. In the morning I get steak and eggs and roasted reds. At at south falls I get the hamburger with sweet potato fries. These places do well for such the seasonal, weather dependent crowds. They both have a small beer and wine collection. Many local brands.

They have nothing for a family of 5 unless you want to rent the large cabins for 12 people which is over $600 a night. They won’t let us squeeze into a small cabin even though my children are an infant, 2 and 4. They should have more family sized accommodations.
