“A local dealer told me I needed new ball joints for a total of nearly $950. I took my vehicle to Devin’s for a second opinion. I was told and was shown that I did not need new ball joints, nor front brakes. I was advised I might need a new strut in the future but not now. While the inspection was free I gave a large tip for the great service. So good to shop locally with businesses that still have integrity.”

“I was with a caravan of business vehicles. had a tire separation and bearing failure on the freeway. Pulled in, the Service Manager (James Ready) met with me and immediately came out and assessed our needs. His shop was stuffed and did need anymore work and not an urgent one, there was people already waiting. James Ready really stepped up, made it all better quickly, and got us on our way. That happened a year ago. It really stuck in my mind and really want to make sure I did my part to show appreciation. Thanks James!”
“We found the car we wanted on-line at Ron Tonkin Subaru in the Gorge. We live in Portland, about an hour and a half away. We negotiated via text. The dealership was very responsive and reasonable. We drove out and bought our car with the assistance of Jorge. He had our car in the showroom, so we could comfortably look it over. We did a test drive and got further helpful info from Jorge. The car was exactly what we wanted. The team including Jorge, Chris, Shasta and Nema were extremely helpful and transparent.

“Had my truck in for an oil change. I had not been in to this dealership before. The person who greeted me was great and did a warm hand off to the service person. Since I was new to this process I had a 3:20 appt. But the service was not completed until after 5. The waiting area had coffee, water and cookies so I just relaxed. I think the next time I will leave my truck for any service to be performed. Good overall experience.”

“Employees were friendly and helpful, making sure I brought the right tires for my car and my driving needs. I've gone in with a flat tire that wasn't one of their brands, and they fixed it no charge. I was on vacation in Eastern Oregon when a tire blew out. I got to a nearby shop. The tire couldn't be fixed, so they found a tire with almost the same amount of wear and replaced it free of charge.”

“Tonkin Subaru in The Dalles, OR...Chris is awesome. Every time I come in for scheduled maintenance auto repairs or oil changed he is on top of it EVERY TIME! Doesn't matter how busy it is here he goes way out of his way to help me out. Tommy in parts is solid too. Hit a deer only needed to replace the side mirror covers. Came in Tommy ordered it for me and was shipped right to my house so I didn't need to come in and be charged more than what the part cost. Today I accidentally missed my appointment at Subaru and Jennifer was able to get me in same day no hassle/Chris and Tommy were able to help me with my tires (totally separate issue) so I don't have to come back twice. The mechanics are very timely and professional. In general this service center has been an extremely positive experience every time. I trust bringing my car here for any maintenance, love having peace of mind the quality being done is highest of standards and truly enjoy the employees who work here. Big thanks to Chris Tommy and Jennifer for all the help!”
