“I had such an amazing experience here! The consultants were extremely talented, listen to my budget (they don’t work on commissions so they don’t try to upsell you which I appreciated). My stylist Paige, was fantastic! She ended up having me try on a dress that I originally said I didn’t love enough to try on, but she had a vision, and it ended up being my dream dress. It’s hard to imagine a dress on a hanger being in your body but she knew it was exactly what I needed. She listened to what I liked and didn’t like, let me know all my options to edit the dress, like adding straps or embellishments to my train. They gave me a list of tailors they recommend as well for when I get my dress. The salon is so cute and every person working was so nice and made me feel beautiful!”

“Not only did I find my dream dress and a beautiful veil to go with it, but I also found a dress for my older sister and my mom. Everyone working there including the owner was incredibly nice and uplifting. Not only did we find so many amazing dresses they were all incredibly affordable! All 4 items were under $300, my dress alone was only $49! Knowing they’re also a nonprofit for a super important cause was just the cherry on top. I believe that anyone looking for beautiful dresses would have an incredible time here; the prices, the service, it was all amazing.”

It's located in the heart of NE Portland off Alberta Street. Their building is secure, clean and full of a wide variety of dresses. Although I did not ultimately find my dress there, my consultant Maya was AMAZING. She was so genuinely excited for me and really did a great job pulling dresses that would fit my style and desires, giving me focused attention, asking questions about my comfort and putting words to my feelings so intuitively. I booked the standard appointment and had an amazing experience with my 4 guests. They were able to take my measurements on the spot so that I could wasily call in at a later point to order. Two of my top 3 dresses ended up being from A&Be! Thankful for Maya and the A&Be Portland crew for offering a beautiful experience!”

I imagine this is what it would have been like shopping at fancy department stores back in their heyday. I'm not local, but I always stop into Xtabay when I visit Portland. Every boutique should aspire to be this exceptional!”
