“The place itself is beautiful, full of natural light and SO many racks of dresses. We scheduled an appointment online, and as soon as we got there, we were ushered to the back area with separate areas for the brides trying on dresses. They even have a front area with a pedestal and even more natural light. The staff were amazing and helped us with everything. They even gave us a little bit of time since it was a slow day. Their dresses turn over in two weeks, so we ended up going back a second time. These dresses are deeply discounted and completely beautiful.”

“Bethany is a magician! I showed up to her about 9 months before my wedding with my grandmother’s 1950s wedding dress in a trash bag. She took a very yellow, discolored and so so fragile dress and washed the fabric until it was IVORY. It was incredible and I honestly didn’t think it was salvageable. She used the lace from the dress to create an heirloom veil that will be special to me and my family for generations. My grandmother passed before we were married and it was all that more special to have her wrapped around me on my wedding day. Don’t hesitate to take your project to Bethany!”

But my stylist Erin was so attentive, genuine, and kind. She gave her honest opinions in a kind way, and always made me feel like I was the priority. I felt extremely comfortable & confident with her! She didn’t force the connection, it was genuine and very effortless. I went to a second appointment after BHLDN at another salon in Portland. My experience was unfortunately quite opposite to my experience at BHLDN. Rushed, dis genuine, & uncomfortable! Immediately knew we were running right back to Anthropologie and trying on dresses with Erin again. After one appointment I left with my dress for my wedding. So happy and very pleased, would recommend her and BHLDN to anyone!”

She's great at helping me find the perfect piece of clothing to try on, even just for fun, and I always leave feeling more confident, regardless of whether I make a purchase that day. The selection here is a combination of vintage, locally produced pieces, or items crafted by Holly herself, and still everything is priced reasonably and within reach. In fact, I would say the best part of Haunt is that its selection of beautiful garments, housewares, jewelry, and art is of utmost quality yet absolutely meant to be attainable and part of everyday life. It's become a real go-to spot for me, for both my own wardrobe and to buy presents for pretty much any occasion, from housewarmings to weddings.”

“Vien is so talented! For years, I’d pictured exactly what I wanted my future wedding dress to look like, but had never seen anything like it in person. When the day came to pick out my dress I went to several bridal shops, but couldn’t find anything close to my vision without spending hundreds of dollars on alterations. I met Vien at the Portland Bridal Show and was intrigued by what she could do for a very reasonable price. When I went to our appointment, I told her exactly what I wanted, picked out a few fabrics, and she whipped up a sketch of my dress in a matter of minutes! Within about 4 months I finally got to see what I had imagined come to life! It fit me like a glove and ended up being cheaper than any other dress I had looked at. If you’ve never considered custom dresses because you thought they were expensive like I originally did - don’t think any longer and just call Vien. You will not be disappointed!”
