“I ordered from Swan Island last two years and tubers are good quality. This year I got 2 red ones, Caliente and American Beauty and they bloomed first. Both about 4ft tall and lots of flowers that perform well as cut flowers.”

“Go in for some plants, but the walk along the many paths and greenhouses in the back are most incredible. The greenhouses include a tropical house which is full of blooming lotus and giant lily pads. And one walk takes you through full grown bamboo and a lily pond filled with koi.”

“We’ve bought several bamboo plants from Phil’s - absolutely the best place to get bamboo. All the bamboo types (which there are many, all of which can grow from 10 feet to 30 - 40 feet, so you really need to know what you’re buying!) are bucketed together with signs that talk about how tall it grows and other considerations. They’ve also always been able to answer our questions too and help us determine what bamboo to buy.
Basically, if you need bamboo, this is the place to go. I kind of shudder thinking about getting it anywhere else actually (like down the road at another nursery they had bamboo except it was all intermixed and hard to tell which bamboo was which type….)- bamboo isn’t something you want to buy and not know what type you’re getting since they grow to different heights and thickness.
Another bonus: they also have a nice assortment of native plants.”

“The store is really fire but the employees are even better. I came in needing only a handful of growing medium. I was expecting to buy a whole bag, but when I explained my situation to the guys up front, they hooked me up. They had a small coco cube in the back that had damaged packaging. Gave it to me at no cost. Thank you guys keep up the great work”

“Amazing, small, locally owned nursery. Customer service was super friendly and top tier! One of the few places I was able to find fresh and fragrant holiday greens and wreaths. They have lots of holiday fare and super affordable prices. I will absolutely return for the stellar customer service! I purchased a few wreaths and they even offered to carry them to the car for me which I feel was very kind and attentive. Go and check them out!”

“I love that they are open year round! Based on their rotating displays, selection, and layout, I have learned how to garden. Seriously! They carry what you need at each time of the year, and the plants starts housed where they grow best (full sun, shade, greenhouse, indoor) it has been a *priceless* guide for this new gardener. Over the last few years, I have grown to rely on Portland Nursery to help me transform my once grass-only lawn into (what will be) the cottage garden of my dreams -- one bulb/start/bag of compost at a time. Knowledgeable & friendly staff, high quality products from local sources and reasonable prices.”

“I went there for the first time yesterday to pick up an online order. I didn’t realize they had a special pick up drive thru area but the cashier nicely showed me where to go. The store was very clean and seemed to have a good selection of items. I picked up my roses that I ordered which were a great deal ($10.00 less than most nurseries) and they had the colors I was looking for. I was so impressed with Wilco that I ordered 2 more rose plants I’m picking up today since I want to take advantage of their sale!”

A ton of different kinds of lavender, as well as a great curated selection of other herbs that aren't the usual you find at even some of Portland's big and great nurseries! And the owner is very knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming, helpful! Really a great spot to check out on the regular if you are into lavender or herb gardening!”

“Great place for all your landscape supplies?. Bark dust. Landscape rocks big and small. Lava rock is only place that I know you can get it. Plus if you have to dump some debris they can handle that too. Been going there for decades”
“Quality assortment of tools, irrigation supply and garden lightning. Good and helpful crew under supervision of manager, Dave, who will go above and beyond for you, to make sure you are satisfied and get a service, it is hard to come by nowadays. He would put an extra effort and time to coach his new, young, crew members, even if it means him staying longer at work to finish his tasks. That is a type of guy, you want on your side, when it comes to finish projects. Highly recommend this location.”
“On a Sunday and needed chicken food. Glad that they were open. We usually pay $15.99 for a bag of Purina Layena Pellets. Cost us $19.99 for the bag at Wilco. We'll make sure not to run out again. Almost 25% increase.”

“Google saves the day! Typically the employee responsible of that specific aisle, does not know the answer or have a clue of what I am looking for or trying to find. Google and YouTube works great for figuring out how to install or what part I need. The best thing Home Depot has done in the last year is update their app. Now when the app opens it locates what store you're in and tells you what aisle the product is located. GREAT! I guess this is because the associates do not know where things are? The bad part of this store is the over tilt to self check out. The Military discount codle is not on the app so you do not need to verify with an employee. Pretty soon, we will only have two workers in the store...LMAO”

I came in with an need for a hard to find switch for my pool heater and the employee that helped me had time for all of my questions and was quick to show me a few replacement options and I ended up finding what I needed. Overall the folks there were amazing, especially Candace Ledingham-Ramos was super helpful and patient with all my questions. She walked me through the different options of fridges as well as delivery options. Additionally the manager, Eric , was also extremely helpful and supportive.
