“New to the area - from NorCal (West Marin) - I came in for help with ideas on restoring the creek bed behind my home after clearing it of ivy and blackberry. The staff was highly knowledgeable about both organic and restorative practices. Several people helped with the right fern selection (sword) then referred me to Concentrates in Milwaukee for bulk cover crop seed. In closing, this will be my go-to garden store. Their prices are the same as Al's and a little bit more than Home Depot and Lowe's. Their selection is similar to smaller Al's stores. It is the knowledge of the staff that sets this nursery apart from the others. That, to me, is worth a few dollars more, not to mention the convenience of being so close.”

“I went to A-Boy for help to fix my 1932 American Standard sink faucet. The staff were polite, patient & most importantly helped me get the parts I needed to fix my faucet. I am not a plumber, so their help & guidance was essential. It wasn't the biggest sale of the day, only $18, but I have been a customer for years, and will of course continue to be a loyal customer for purchases large & small. Thanks A-Boy!”

“Very pretty flowers! Tons of different types of Dahlias. Going to the fields is free which is awesome, you can purchase the bulbs to plant, and lots of little shops and food trucks around.”

“William, our cashier today (12/13/2023 at about noon time) was very very helpful and friendly. As soon as he saw us walking in the door, he greeted us and asked if we needed any help finding anything. He directed us in the right way so that we weren't looking all over the store trying to find what we were looking for. Major kudos to this man.”

“Great store for koi fish, and pond supplies and water plants. I work for the oregon Zoo, and these people are great supporters of the oregon zoo, they donate huge amounts of wood wool( the straw mater that their statues and fountains are packed in). This is used as bedding for black bears, polar bears, lions, tigers, cheetahs, chimps, and orangutans. All these animals thank you for your support”

“Purchased various items to start Bokashi composting and Biochar soil amendment. The service was superb and the staff was very knowledgeable. I am a backyard gardener, so I am not destined to be a big contributor to their yearly income. Yet, I was treated with respect and friendliness. And it seems that they have everything that one would need to have a healthy and healthful garden.I am very pleased to have discovered them. What a gift to our Portland community!!!”

“I did not come here for the Garden experience or to shop. This place was the venue of a small dinner event that combined food prepared by a local chef with wines from "Hip Chicks Do Wine".What a beautiful atmosphere that was created by the owner(s) for this event.”

“I love this place. I've asked gardening questions at Portland Nursery multiple times - I can never get a straight answer. I called Tony's and was given tons of useful information by the person I spoke to.”

“She prevented me from buying anything she didn’t think would thrive in my low light conditions. Knew all about her plants. Steered me to one she was sure would work fine even though it was inexpensive by comparison.”

“Love to visit local nurseries and, wow, what a gem this is! First of all, the personal customer service is friendly, knowledgeable, and so accommodating. Next, the plants seem to be native, are very healthy looking, great prices, and the layout of the property is delightful, like a walk through an enchanted garden. With many offerings, such as rain chains, a small gift store, lovely plants, ceramic wares, and supporting local businesses, it's definitely worth a visit.”

“Huge selection of concrete products for your garden. After more than 25 years in landscape design and installation I can assure you nothing endures like concrete. With age it only looks better. They can also do custom orders. The pieces I have from them have outlasted everything else. And I've tried everything else!”

“The absolute best community resource I've used. We just moved to Lents and were a bit strapped for cash after buying a house, and this tool library was (and still is) a life saver. The volunteers are friendly and helpful. I hope this place stays here forever.”

“One of my go to nurseries in Portland! I’ve been shopping at Portland Nursery since I first moved here 5 years ago, and my small army of apartment plants have predominantly come from here! They always have what I’m looking for, and I love checking out both locations.”

“It was my turn to plan our yearly reunion of old friends and found Villa Catalana and oh my it exceeded my expectations- serene and beautiful - we felt transported. The Pinot Gris was the favorite but we also came home with a couple bottles of the dessert wine I highly recommend watching the YouTube video about how the gracious owners got the idea for the building materials, retaining walls and gardens. I just hope my review doesn't cause the place to get too popular.”

“They absolutely have the biggest, fullest most beautiful hanging baskets. I just bought 3 more, since I had 3 go kaputski in the 111 F weather. They have fruit trees, apple, fig, ..this is my favorite go-to place now.”

“Awesome store! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. When I came in the other day, Aaron was super friendly, helped me and loaded up all my soil (without even being asked!) The other guy was pretty nice too. I’ve been coming here for a few months now and it is always the same. Thank you boys. My garden loves you!!!!”

“Oregon city and Silverton often have more in stock, but Canby usually has what I need and always has friendly and helpful staff. I can't think of a time I haven't had friendly and helpful staff at any of the Wilco farm store locations I've been to.”

“I know some of my fellow DIY'ers shy away from the large home improvement centers and opt for smaller family owned & operated stores. One of the biggest reasons for this migration, stems around the fear of getting poor customer service...Let me tell you... The Home Depot in Oregon City has... (I don't know what the proper identifying verbiage is anymore so I'll shoot from the hip!) an AWESOME customer service, checkout, self checkout register consultant or cashier employee named 'Greg.' In my experience, Greg was nice, extremely helpful, good listener and was able to help the lady I was with pricing concerns. In the couple min I spoke with Greg he showed initiative, genuine concern over the problem in hand and carried out the necessary actions which ultimately saved the sale and likely 'earned' the business of a repeat customer.Lastly, he told me he didn't know much about laying hardwood floors... (side conversation we had) But wished me good luck and sent us on our way with a friendly smile and a 'Good Luck!'This is what Great Customer service look like,,, and This Home Depot in Oregon City is Damn Lucky to have Greg representing the 'Orange Apron' team!Thank You to everyone at the Home Depot!!Best,Chad W”

“I really enjoy shopping for plants at Dennis 7 Dee’s in Lake Oswego. I consistently find the selection of indoor and outdoor plants to be really lovely. The staff is friendly and always happy to share their wealth of knowledge in plant care.”

“Google saves the day! Typically the employee responsible of that specific aisle, does not know the answer or have a clue of what I am looking for or trying to find. Google and YouTube works great for figuring out how to install or what part I need. The best thing Home Depot has done in the last year is update their app. Now when the app opens it locates what store you're in and tells you what aisle the product is located. GREAT! I guess this is because the associates do not know where things are? The bad part of this store is the over tilt to self check out. The Military discount codle is not on the app so you do not need to verify with an employee. Pretty soon, we will only have two workers in the store...LMAO”

“The Home Depot is my second favorite store behind Costco. A little history... this location was built on top of the old Oregon City Landfill. That's right! They filled it in and covered it. I've always liked this Home Depot... it is less busy then some of the others. There is always parking but lately it's been hard to get help if you need it. They are short employees just like everywhere else unfortunately. Returns are pretty simple here. I love the paint department! You can bring in a chip of paint and they say they can match it pretty close. Nice! In the Summer the garden department is wonderful and such a happy place. I think this one is bigger than most of the other Home Depot's I have been to.”
