“My husband and I agreed that it was time to adopt but with my cancer treatments, we knew we needed a calm, low maintenance dog. The selection process was low-pressure, very thorough and informative for us both. Meg helped us choose Lyra - a beautiful calm Saluki from Bahrain and when we found out she had some health issues, the program jumped right in to offer support, flexibility and whatever we needed to be sure she was taken care of. Lyra has become my husband's best friend through my illness and she adds so much joy and happiness to our lives.
From application, to adoption, and now post-adoption. Meg and Bobbie, along with the vet staff, have all been incredibly communicative, supportive, and helpful not only in ensuring that we got a dog that fit our needs but nearly a year later, they're continuing to invest time and energy and effort to make sure we're still doing well. Everyone at the facility, is incredible and we couldn't recommend them more.”

“I usually go to the Roosevelt Blvd clinic but this was just as exceptional aside from the quality of surrounding area. Technicians were top notch with communication and timeliness of services. I would really like to mention Luis from the call center for this industry for handling a very urgent situation I had. He went above and beyond to ensure myself and my pets were taken care of during a very stressful situation. Every workplace deserves employees like Luis, he was one of a kind.”
“I attend the bingo events here. They raise money for various things within the organization. It's a fun atmosphere. They also sell snacks and drinks during the event. They also raffle off about 4 or 5 prizes and do a 50/50. ATM on the premises as well.”

“Loved coming here before the paths were put in but I get that more foot traffic is better for funding and stuff. They take good care of everything, no litter, no overflowing trash cans. All in all a great place to go.”

“Granted I only use treadmill & hand weights but I am so happy I joined this Y thru the Unite for Her Organization. Maybe it's not as big or new as Edge gym, but staff is super nice & no matter what time I go, it's never packed or dirty like people are saying. Highly recommended.”

“I cannot say enough great things about the Dolphins Aquatic Club. We joined in 2021 when our former club was shut down for Covid and it was the best move we could have made. The coaches are amazing and very knowledgeable and we are like a big family. Our swimmers go on to become very successful in their swimming careers. My son has made great friends and his skill level has improved so much since working with this coaching staff. If you are looking for a great swim team with a family feel this is the club to join.”
“I attended PCK 2 years ago and graduated. It was one of the best experiences in my adult life. Not only did I learn culinary skills, I learned and relearned interpersonal skills, updated my math skills, learned to work as part of a team. PCK changed my life for the better. Superb training, great chefs, administrators and other students that I will always be fond of. PCK gives and gives and gives. It is a gift that keeps on giving to their students and to the community. I am a chef now and love it. Im a healthy 63 yr young woman who embarked on a passion...a dream.PCK makes dreams come true. Soon I will be going further with my education...my culinary dream to study more at one of the best culinary schools in the world and continue to use all the positive training and life enhancing experiences I received and gained at Philabundance Community Kitchen. I will always be grateful to the donors, owner, chefs, teachers, and staff and volunteers and fellow students. “If you want to give your kids a lifelong love for the game please I implore you to sent them to Legacy. The program for munchkins are well designed for fun and also most importantly the fundamentals in the game. I’m very much impressed with the drills that are used on 4-7 year olds. I wished I had this as a child. The ratio of coach to kids were 1 to 4 on average depending on the day but not more than 1 to 6.”
“Went to see the play "Little Women" here last night. It's very small and intimate. You walk in and it feels like a middle school. You won't be sure you are in the right place. Looks like they do pottery classes as well. The cast was fantastic. I think there were a few people here that will go on to do larger productions. If that really is the measure of success. I personally love the stripped down atmosphere. There are not huge set change outs, elaborate costumes, or big band scores. The play relies on the actors ability to evoke emotion and tell a story. This is a very different experience from larger productions and if you live in the area it's the perfect little escape. Get out for a few hours. Support your local playhouse. You can't buy an experience off Amazon. Yet....”

“Every month for approximately three years, we have eagerly anticipated food delivery day! Absolutely the BEST way, bar none, to spend a Sunday morning. There is much hunger in the world so it is incredibly satisfying to assist in lending a hand to our neighbors who may be struggling. JRA is a wonderful nonprofit led by a terrific president (Amy) and volunteer organizer (Melissa). They accomplish Herculean feats on a shoestring.”

“If you are a senior citizen and sitting alone in your home with nothing to do but read or watch TV, you are missing out on something really great! Journey's Way is the place you need to visit. A senior center with more things to do than you can imagine, this is where you need to come to really start living again! There is virtually something for everyone, and I know this to be true because I have been a member there since 2011. I originally joined to learn how to play bridge but over the years, I've done so many different things there that I have yet to join the bridge group! Music, art, crafts, reading, writing, discussion groups, help with modern technology (computer, iPhone, iPad help), jewelry making, and so, so much more - you really need to stop in and talk to Mark Weber, who will arrange for a guided tour of the place. Some people like to just come for lunch or bingo, and that is perfectly fine, too. Yes, we offer bingo each week, and have delicious luncheon meals every day there. There are many specials that happen at JW as well - far too many things to do to list here! Call or stop in and if you like it, you can join. Membership is not mandatory, but it does grant certain privileges. You do not need to be alone anymore. Come meet and make some new friends and see how great being a 'senior ager' can be.”
