She never pushed a sale just listened and made honest suggestions. The establishment is also very clean. Information about materials: number of Coils, etc is presented clearly and thoroughly. I received my new bed the next day. Prices are normal. I also liked their computer bedmatch that matched me with the right bed for me. “Martin Furniture is a southern Lancaster County gem! A bit out of the way for us, but we’re glad we made the trip. Sherri greeted us and was tremendous help in the store; offering advice, allowing us to sign out samples and emailing quotes. Happy to purchase local, Amish made wood pieces. Loads of options to design the perfect bar stools! We looked many places but ended up finding the perfect rug for our space at Martins. It was delivered today by Paul and Rylan who were professional and respectful of our home. The whole Martin Furniture experience was top notch!”

And now we just purchased a corner cabinet tv stand in cream color plus a beautiful picture of white a goose sitting on a cabinet and a wooden barrel bucket aside of the goose. “20 years ago I bought a beautiful Amish oak kitchen table and chairs plus benches and bar stools from John Horning. I raised my family with these in our kitchen and they looked wonderful, wore like steel and were perfect the entire time. Good friends of ours also purchased at the same time and are still using theirs. We recently completely changed our style and needed to change the look. We sold all of the original pieces to one person retaining more than half the original value. And we returned to John and now his son Andrew for a new table. See pictures. Only have the sales going down on Tuesday’s, but you can go anytime during the week and scout out all the ones you may be interested in, that way you’ll be ready come Tuesday and you don’t end up with a fancy looking couch only to realize that it reeks like aunt carols house!
If you don’t have the means of transportation on the day of purchase, they give you till Wednesday night to come back with a capable vehicle, otherwise they throw it out. And if it rains Tuesday night and you haven’t taken it with you yet, you’ll just be hoping they had it in the indoor part and not outside, but what I’m sayin is that they aren’t responsible for what happens to it from the time of purchase until the time of pickup.
Now that means that if Bob buys a furnace and he can’t fit the furnace into his mini cooper, so he needs to go home and borrow his buddy Kyle’s pickup truck, but Kyle can only lend him his truck on Wednesday afternoon. So bob goes on Wednesday afternoon with Kyle’s Ford F350, pulls up and after loading up his furnace he turns and sees that the big ol’ desk that he wanted for his workshop was still there, and the old lady who outbid him for it apparently didn’t either have a way of transporting it back to her den yet. So bob looks left and bob looks right and bob hauls it into the bed of Kyle’s truck.
Now when the old lady pulls up (we’ll call her Judy to protect her identity) she can’t find her desk, and she calls her friend Mike, and Mike says—listen here Judy, there’s nothin I can do, they don’t take responsibility on merchandise that you leave there!
But it hasn’t happened to anyone I know yet, so y’all should be fine.
