“I usually take my kitties to the Tilghman Street location but had to book at the Hamilton Street location this time. I was very pleased with how calm and reassuring the staff were with my boys. My one cat is very anxious and I was worried taking him to see someone different. I was put at ease very quickly as the staff were just as fantastic as at the other location. “Took my cat here for the first time last week and will be continuing to use this vet! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived there was an active husky in the waiting room that wanted to be friends with myself and my cat, but she was terrified and was crying and hissing at the advances of the dog. The staff kindly offered to place my cat behind their desk / in an open room while we waited our turn so that she would be calm and comfortable. I am extremely grateful for the care they offered us on our first vet visit! They gave her a full check up and updated her shots, as well as quickly getting back to me with estimates and appointments for my cat's required followup care for her dental surgery.”

“Love this place. We have been going for a few years now. The staff is so caring and friendly. The vets are outstanding. You can tell they care about their patients and love their jobs. Luckily we have only had to visit once for a sick animal, we mostly go for routine care, but in every instance we felt safe, as did our dogs. Highly recommend.”
“My husband and I absolutely love Dr. Hess and her staff. They have taken such good care of our dog, Murphy. He is an enthusiastic scavenger, and even with the use of safety locks, etc., has managed to consume non-edible items. Both times they saw him immediately and took excellent care of him. Also, Dr. Hess has been endlessly patient navigating his food allergies and sensitive stomach. Additionally, her vet techs are amazing- it's easy to get an appt for maintenance issues with ears and anal glands. You can tell they love the animals they care for and there's no better feeling as a dog-parent.
Lastly, the groomers are fantastic with Murphy. He always looks so handsome after his cut, and we feel good knowing he's in safe and caring hands!
Prices are affordable and fair, even on routine issues not covered by pet insurance.
My mom and step-dad have taken our/their family dogs to Dr. Hess for years and suggested we do the same. They were so compassionate when our dogs Kiva and Zoe died, and do great managing their dog Pablo. I would 10/10 recommend for anyone in the area.”
