“Mavis is better than any chain quick lube place! I've had some really bad experiences since my local oil change place got replaced with a jiffy lube, so I finally tried Mavis. They were welcoming and helpful, even getting me in before my online-made appointment time. They even changed my blinker light free of charge because I brought my own bulb. There's good coupons on their website too!!”

Came across Universal auto repair and they great reviews, so I decided to make an appointment. Explained exactly what I was experiencing when driving. At first glance they couldn’t pin point the issue but with a bit more info from me they figured it out. Also had inspections/emission and daylight replaced. “Yesterday I had a tire that was very flat and noticed a nail in it. I had a 45 minute ride home and it was near the end of the day. I was worried nobody would have time to help, Roman was the technician that serviced my vehicle. He was professional and efficient. I would return to this Mavis location for future services.”

“I brought my car to Monro for an oil change. The technician working on my car called me and said that I needed four new tires. At first, I thought this was just another attempt to make more money off me. But the technician insisted that the tread was very worn. I consented to the new tires, and when I went to pick up the car, the technician showed me my old tires which were almost bald. I was so glad he recommended changing them before I left for vacation. I was very happy with the service I received today.”
“My battery warning light came on and was told at Autozone that my battery was good but most likely needed a new alternator. I called Jim’s and were able fit me in right away. I came first thing just before our winter vacation for them to look at it. Jim’s figured out that the connectors were loose. It was a Christmas miracle! To my surprise, within under an hour of THEIR time, they fastened it and told me that I did not even have to pay. Jim’s service and kindness, especially around this holiday season made my day. This is the kind of neighborhood shop that really gets it (unlike some of these corporate-auto-grinches minus Roxborough Autozone). I had to repay the favor by giving them a rave review. Thank you! “PA Tire and Auto is BY FAR the best place to take your car in the area. I had a nail in my tire and brought it in to them. Bram, the manager, called me almost immediately after to tell me that all four of my tires were completely dry rotted way more than he had ever seen on a new car that had less than 18k miles. He encouraged me to call the manufacturer and go through the warranty to get them replaced. Bram could have lied and told me the state of my tires was on track for the lifespan of them, and sold me 4 new tires. But he didn't do that- he was honest and transparent and told me to fight for a warranty because I deserved it. No only that- Bram spent probably a few hours on the phone with Yokohama himself when they demanded to speak to a mechanic who had seen and measured the premature rot in my tires. All the while, he knew his shop wouldn't be able to carry out the warranty themselves because they are not a dealership, which would be authorized to do warranties with this specific brand of tire. In short, he encouraged me and helped me get a warranty on my tires because it was in MY best interest to do that. It wasn't in his best interest or the shop's best interest but he did it anyway. He has integrity and an admirable work ethic. He was so patient and kind that he has won a customer for life. Thank you for everything, Bram!!!”
