I visited the City Line Ave. location in Philadelphia. My visit was great. Staff was friendly, and I was able to get a clear explanation of how my insurance benefits work. I was able to easily and quickly get an appointment with the doctor. The doctor explained my scans and informed me of my eye health in easily understood terms. My only complaint would be for them to have a wider selection of fashionable styles and colors of frames.

Had an appt today at 10:45, I arrived at 10:50 because I was outside on the phone with the insurance company. The receptionist checked me in took me to the back to the exam room and left out. The doc and receptionist had a few words then the receptionist told me that I couldn’t be seen unless I do the diabetic check which comes with a 35.00 copay since I was 5 mins late ??? or I could reschedule. Upon my arrival I was told that the doctor had an attitude because the computers were down. Last time I went to that location I left after waiting 45 mins because they were backed up. I received nothing for that though and to try to force me to pay for something I don’t want because I was 5 mins late is insane, this company lost more than 35.00 for the stupidity of them. It says nothing about being late on the site or in store so I’ll never return for the lies and unprofessionalism. I’m taking my services to americas best ?’s. ?

That old lady at the front had a nasty attitude when I asked if she was able to fix my bent glasses, went to the Target right down the road and they fixed my frames good as new... Gladly not coming back, y'all should hire people that don't hate their lives.

The associates are nice & seem like they know what they are doing, but NOT one of them smile or act like they want to be at their job. They all seem like they HATE being at their job. If that’s the case they should ALL quit & find a place they love working. Sorry guys & gals but this is just me being real!!

For the past 3 years I’ve been getting my eyes checked in the Bala VisionWorks, and my experience is beyond positive.
I suffer from anxiety and I can be socially awkward sometimes as well, however this store has great costumer service that makes me feel at ease.
The optometrists are very patient, and answer all my questions besides giving me a great exam. The whole staff on the front of the store are very polite, friendly, patient, and helpful.
This worker Mark is so knowledgeable and helpful with the frames, I couldn’t choose my frames without his help at all. The best part: the frames look great on me!
This Bala VW has the A Team.

You can bring your own frame and they can used your prescription but you have to signed a waiver in case something may happen.

Monica was very helpful, we came in to get my Mom’s lens put back in her current frames. Well she end up having to get a whole new frame, which in the end worked out better. The whole process took about 30 mins.
