“The first time I was recommended to go to the Aardvark store I was a bit confused as to what made this place special over any other shoe store. After buying my first pair, I was believer in the brand. I have been back to buy several more times. It is the professionalism, quality of service and courtesy of the staff that keeps me coming back over and over again, repeatedly trusting in their recommendations.
My first fitting with Andy was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I thought, there’s no way this is the standard of service. A little over a year after my first fitting, I went in for a refresh and had a fitting with John. To my relief and surprise, John delivered that same Aardvark experience that I fell in love with the first time.
Aside from experience, a truly unique offering from Aardvark is how knowledgeable the staff is. The ability for them to complete the fitting and make curated recommendations based on your unique foot’s need is amazing.
During our most recent experience, my wife and I had a great conversation with John about having our first child on the way and joked about needing my modern dad shoe (cue the signature white new balance). Not only did they remember that conversation but they sent us a nice post card congratulating us on the new baby.”

“Great shop, everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. They try to get to everyone as fast as they can while also not leaving the customer they are with hanging. My only complaint would be they are not open for more than a few hours a day, so it's hard to get there sometimes,and the shop is really tiny and can get pretty crowded fast”

“I had a wonderful experience at this location in Bethlehem. I believe the young lady's named was Shayla or Shyla. She's was extremely helpful and kind. She was so patient with us. I came with my two sons who choose to be super indecisive that day however, Shyla did not bat an eye once or show any signs of annoyance even though they changed their minds and got the wrong size shoe several times. Shyla walked back and forth to sneaker room 7 times (I counted)! Each time she tried to be more and more helpful and never once gave an attitude or made us feel uncomfortable! Sorry but NOT sorry most people her age would of definitely been huffing and puffing sucking their teeth but Shyla did not. She displayed a level of professionalism that not only is rare for people her age , but rare in general period! We are fairly new in this town and it is refreshing to find a sneaker store for my teenage boys that they liked and that treat us well! Kudos to DTLR for not only having a wide collection for us customers to choose from, but also staff like Shyla that made it so we definitely will need back to shop at DTLR in Bethlehem! “I'm a 53 year old dude disparately attempting to stay cool and I love my Vans slip ons. Ordered a pair on sale online with Amateur Athlete today and within 5 minutes Colin ( who I don't know but is awesome) texted me that they didn't actually have the pair I ordered. Offered me a refund or a look at other pairs like them in my size. I opted to look at others and damn if he didn't show me a pair that were cooler than the ones I ordered. I choose them , duh! The pics he txted me and this entire dialog happened within 15 minutes of my online order. Crazy! If 20% of the businesses in the US were as attentive and customer friendly as these folks the world would be such a better place! I will make excuses to buy from y'all again.”
