About National Apple Museum

Open May to mid-October, The National Apple Museum preserves the history of the apple & fruit tree industry in Adams County, PA through a number of exhibits housed in a restored pre-Civil War bank barn. Exhibits include early picking, packing & shipping of fruit, pest management, commercial fruit processing equipment, early orchard photographs, apple antiques and a recreated 1880’s farm kitchen & General Store. The museum features collections of farming implements, apple peelers, fruit labels and much more apple memorabilia. Learn how the fruit industry impacted the growth & development of Adams County, as it still does today. The museum, opened in 1990, is owned & operated by the Biglerville Historical & Preservation Society.
