“Love this shop! I moved from Philly to Bryn Mawr and was excited to have a trendy thrift store with parking 3 minutes from my house! The music and atmosphere are great and I find it relaxing to browse around every few weeks and see what’s new. It’s clean, the staff are very friendly and the items span basic $3 bin stuff to higher-end name brand…all priced very fairly.I found a dress for my bridal shower, practically brand new high top Vans sneakers, cozy sweaters for winter, dress pants and a top for a holiday party. I love the benefits of buying used for the environment, the thrill of the hunt, and getting a lot for a little. Hope this place sticks around for years to come! I’m a loyal customer and I tell everybody to check it out! Thanks Renaissance!”

“What an amazing store! Everything is so reasonably priced and the staff (especially the owners, both husband & wife) were so friendly and helpful!! This was my first time there and I wanted to leave with half the store. I found exactly what I’ve been searching for at such a great price. The owner also took down my information to call me about another piece she may be getting in that I am looking for. I will definitely be back every time I need house decor and furniture. Redecor is my new first stop for all the things I will be looking for. Go check this place out. You will not be disappointed at all!! Amazing store, amazing staff, amazing owners! Very accommodating and just such a great experience! Cannot wait to go back!”

“I bought my wedding dress here. Kelly was so helpful! She helped me narrow down the dress options without feeling overwhelmed. I felt absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day and am so thankful that I found my dress at Sabrina Ann’s!”

“She has a wonderful selection here. She had a lot of jewelry and there were purses as and jackets too. Clothing outside was $2 a piece and I got a shirt inside for $3. I love finding local thrifts shops because, besides the prices being better, it's always a plus to support small businesses. I will be returning.”

“This is a great shop! They have limited hours and since I'm not in that part of the state often, it took me months to finally get inside! It was worth the wait! The staff (or they might be volunteers) are always friendly and helpful. The items are displayed beautifully and everything is clean. It's fun to find something that you never knew you were looking for until you spot it!”

“Ayana is the best. She is kind and professional and so much fun to work with! The boutique contains such a beautiful array of designs and colors, and the pieces are arranged in such a way that focuses on the beauty of the items, rather than the size. Ayana went out of her way to select the perfect pieces for my event. I felt like I was shopping in Paris. Can't say enough kind things.I went in frazzled, and left feeling like I made a new friend. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself. Check out the lovely treasures in Fashion Forward.”

“This is a very nice thrift that is black-owned and woman-owned in West Philly. I found they had a nice selection of items and it was well-lit and clean. They had a variety of things they were selling including clothing, shoes, furniture and various other knick-knacks. The owner was nice enough to provide information when I asked about the prices, and I'm excited to return when I have more time on my hands!”

“I enjoy the post from Isabelle Sparrow, but just realized I had not seen them on a long while. The algorithm writers do not know me and should not be choosing for me.”

“The Clover Market actually moves around the area, and the one I went to this year was held in Collingswood. I heard it was the only one in Jersey this year. They claim there are 100 vendors, but I really don't feel like it was that many, though I saw that there were a few booths were artists split a booth. Now, this ain't your neighborhood grandma using Michael's ribbons on sale with her 25% coupon to make wreaths that you slap onto your front door. For many of the booths, it was gallery quality, and the prices reflect as such. Everyone was super, super friendly. My favorite booth was the guy who handcrafted amazing whirligigs. I had to buy a flying pig that used bird feathers to catch a breeze. Stunning, and for $40, I had to get it.”

“Neat, well-organized and great selection of various items from jewelry to baby strollers! Lots if quality clothing for women-my interest and cool, trendy stuff for my high school grand daughter. Gentleman working there was helpful, gracious and efficient! I just took 4 bags of my retired work clothes there so their racks are very full. Everything is in top quality shape!”

“I'm not sure what price complaints are about. I found a flawless Jos Banks tux (won't need a single alteration) for $60. On a whim I decided to look for formal shoes and they happened to be on half price sale. A pair of all-leather Italians that listed for $6-700 in stores were $5.00 (like new.) Maybe men's stuff is cheaper here?”

“This is my absolute favorite place to go for unique home decor and furniture! I buy something I love almost every time I come (which is a lot.) The owners are so lovely and knowledgeable, and everything is very reasonably priced. Great place to find mirrors, lamps and decorative objects! There’s a huge variety of items, lots of vintage and antique items from all over the world, and always new stuff coming in!”

“I visited the sister store of The Velvet Shoestring in Williamsburg, Virginia a short while ago, and was impressed with the high quality and broad variety of furniture, art and craft pieces on display, as well as the reasonable approach to pricing. Although the shop in Wayne, PA, is smaller than the other, it still carries a large cross section of similar items, although in a much tighter space that requires some balance and dexterity to walk among. We were most interested in benches that could be used in both our living room for extra seating, and our dining room when we had more guests than our chairs could accommodate. Secondarily, we are always looking for unique Asian decor pieces to supplement our Chinese oriented home. After exploring the two floors (careful on those basement stairs), we didn't find any benches that suited our space requirements, but did look thrice at a leather love sofa, and even take its measurements. Given the pricing policy, we decided to look carefully at home to see if we could use this beautiful couch somewhere in our home and return at a specific date when the price dropped. A gamble, but we are willing to accept the risk that it may be gone. As to the Asian pieces, I was most taken with the beauty and skill of a lacquered low bench (see photo) that was nearly suitable for framing. Wife didn't see the utility of it, and thought it might suffer at the hands of visiting grandchildren. I knew better than to challenge her empress opinions, so I walked away from it. Still, we enjoyed the browse enough to want to repeat it. I recommend reading Regina M's review for a clear description of how Shoestring works. She covered that better than I could. Happy Hunting!”

“I always have a Good experience When I go to once and Again consignment shop. However I think the prices can be a little bit cheaper in some of the items ? . But I won't complain because I spent a lot of money there because every day they have new items that you can't find no else.”

“#46 of 100. Great little vintage and consignment shop with cute clothes and actually some higher end items. Saw Chanel, Gucci, and a few other designer brands. Given the location, there is a chance they could be real . Prices were decent and although I didn't walk away with anything , if lived in the area would probably think of selling items for consignment.”
