“I take my cat there all the time for nail trims he gets rambunctious so I had to give him gabebentin he was calm all the way there and while there got his back claws trimmed but not the front gave me higher dose of med to come back for front paws really don't like medicating him was not charged. But to me he was still calm when I drove him home”

“My regular vet did X-rays as Louie was holding a rear leg up often. Radiologist report showed tears in both CCLs. At first, we were considering TTA doing one and then the other. A friend told me I should research TPLO as her dog had that procedure in one leg and the TTA in another. The TTA required a second surgery and her dog’s leg wobbles. She wished she had done TPLO in the second but did TTA due to price. I started researching and asked my vet for a referral to BluePearl as the local vets only do TTA. They have been great from the first call to schedule the consultation to our recent incision check. Dr. Kraun spent over an hour during the consultation answering all our questions and explaining the procedure and that we should do both at once so Louie only has one recovery. I had read so much on the Internet and was so anxious going into the consultation and left feeling relaxed. Louie is anxious as he’s a Covid pup so he didn’t have a lot of socialization. He laid on the floor and fell asleep while Dr. Kraun talked with us which was amazing. Him being relaxed and us being at peace was an answer to prayer. They allowed us to be with him when they sedated him on the day of the procedures and had us come into the room afterwards so we were the first people he saw when he was waking up. Everyone has been so kind from the ladies at the front, the surgical techs, vet techs and Dr. Kraun. The facility is super clean. Dr. Kraun called to check on him and to see if we had any questions. If you read his bio on Blue Pearl’s site you will see he focuses on pain management too. Louie didn’t experience any pain and we would know as he’s very vocal when he’s uncomfortable. The facility called another day to check in. We are a little over two weeks post-op and Louie is doing great. In one leg the CCL had been totally torn and the meniscus too. In the leg with the slight tear he was touching down that evening after surgery and started touching down on the other the day after. We covered our floors with rugs, have a ramp for the outside stairs, a small 4x4 pen to confine him indoors and the Help Um Up Harness - it is a must! Louie is a six year old Brittany and loved to play fetch. We are following all the guidance so he has a successful recovery and can get back to being a happy dog…running…chasing birds…and an occasional ball without pain. Bi-lateral TPLO was cheaper than the price I was quoted from vets doing TTA. He has follow-up X-rays in 38 days. Highly recommend Blue Pearl and Dr. Kraun! A couple pictures of him during recovery and him prior to tearing his CCLs.”

“Although it was a long night/wait Dr Shrager took very good care of my girl. She performed the diagnostics and blood work. She put my girl on a specific diet and medication plan. She did not rush us through the exam. Dr Shrager’s treatment plan is working. My girl is well on her way to recovery. She is 10 and has a history of elevated liver enzymes. Per her recommendation I will follow care with our regular vet. This is the second time Dr. Shrager saved her!! The staff was awesome as well.”
