“About 40 years ago I remember going there as a 6-7 year old child and there had to be at least a 1/2 dozen or so butchers working in there every time my mother would take me.the convever on the ceiling with the hooks attached to it had sides of pork hanging from it, Everybody working there kept busy processing the pork and the line was usually out the door.Everything was and still is as fresh as you can get. in my 40+ years of life I have Never had Fresher tasting pork anywhere but Hains Pork Shop 40 years later I still go there I'm Never disappointed, That's proly why they've been operating for over 150 years.If you enjoy eating fresh Pork and you haven't been there your missing out on a Land mark Butcher Shop”

Food was delicious, staff was completely professional and helpful, and everything was very afforadble. Nita was offering suggestuions and was super nice. “I have been using them for several seasons for our concessions stand food. I'd say we do a fairly high volume for High School football anyway, and I've always gotten excellent foods from them. The staff is very courteous and thorough. Easy ordering, I just call up and tell them what I need for the week and it's ready when I need it. Definitely recommend.”

“Friendly, fast, and delicious. I literally refuse to buy deli meat from any other store at this point. The meat actually goes bad within a week or so because it's not loaded with preservatives like the stuff at Giant. Highlights include the varieties of ham (sliced or "chipped" in extra-thin shreds) and the outstanding Amish turkey bacon that is light years better than the garbage they sell in grocery stores. Check the specials board for extra bargains. Only complaint I have is that they don't put the meat into ziplock bags, but it's not the worst thing to do that at home yourself.Tip: jerky is expensive but sooo good.”

“One of the women who works here remembers my name. You get a number and wait for someone to call your number. I recommend getting the chicken salad and homemade potato salad here.When my grandfather was alive, I bought hoagies here. He always liked Italian hoagies (with no oregano). I would call and pre-order the hoagie and then pick it up. Excellent customer service and great prices!”

“Lancaster Meat Market has the leanest cuts of meat that I've seen in Philly! They do fish, chicken, lamb - everything. And they have a full set of grocery shelves with condiments, sauces, spices - as well as a big freezer. You can get everything for a family barbecue or company picnic.They have 16 meat combo deals, and a bunch of Deli deals and even a breakfast special. Most important: nice people, too!”
