Pet Care

Windrose Animal Hospital
1658 PA-228 #100, CranberryThis hospital for me is more than a house, in this hospital I have been attending to my pets since I arrived in Cranberry. I had been given one of the hardest moments when I said goodbye to my 16-year-old baby hairy, and in this place I felt an indescribable peace, I felt supported and loved at this hard time when the world seems to be falling apart. They were very human at this tough time and with the rest of my pets I have always felt the same care. I just love and recommend this place.

Cranberry Veterinary Hospital
120 Graham Park Drive, CranberryThe staff, techs, and doctors are wonderful. I see Dr. Kasson he actually lays on the floor with my dog. Nose to nose. How many vets do that. Wonderful care. I have had a couple of emergencies they get me right in that day

Animal General of Cranberry Twp.
20411 Rte 19, CranberryRoutine visit Dr. Niko really seems to love Animals. Everyone was very nice to both of us. And one thing I do like about this practice is if there’s someone there that’s putting their dog down daylight a candle and there’s a note. They’re asking anybody who comes in. You know to keep their voice low and respect them. That’s nice.

Gardens Veterinary Hospital
9087 Marshall Rd, CranberryI had my cat Crosby who passed away cremated at gardens veterinary hospital. They did it in a timely fashion faster than the expected and the staff was extremely compassionate and kind. Thank you for making one of the toughest things I’ve had happen in my life just a little better.

Dr. Darryl Strobel, DVM
9087 Marshall Rd, CranberryDr Strobel was the kindest and most gentle doctor to our Kali girl. She lived to be 14 years old and she would get kisses on her snout from Dr Strobel each time we visited. We will miss her AND Dr Strobel!

Cranberry Holistic Pet Care
20570 Rte 19 Rear, CranberryWe’ve been seeing Dr. Maro at Cranberry Holistic Pet Hospital for about two years, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care she has given my dog.
I originally switched from a traditional veterinary practice because I wanted a more holistic approach that focuses on overall wellness and natural treatments whenever possible. That philosophy aligns with how I live, and Dr. Maro truly takes the time to look at the whole picture rather than just treating symptoms.
During a routine visit, she asked how long my dog had a lump in his neck. I was surprised because I massage him regularly and hadn’t noticed anything. We monitored it closely and tried conservative treatments, but when it didn’t improve, she recommended surgery.
What we discovered was shocking. The tumor was tucked into a very tricky area and ended up being the size of a small lemon. Dr. Maro did an excellent job removing it. If she hadn’t been so thorough and in tune with him, it likely would not have been found until it was too late. I’m forever grateful for her attentiveness and skill.
The entire team at the practice is just as wonderful. Everyone is caring, kind, and truly loves the animals they work with. My pup gets excited when he sees Starrsha, and Connie and the rest of the techs and staff are always warm, patient, and compassionate. I can’t say enough good things about the people there. I wouldn’t have stayed with this practice for as long as I have if the doctor or the staff weren’t exceptional.
If you’re looking for a veterinarian who is knowledgeable, approachable, truly listens, and genuinely wants the best for your pet, I highly recommend Dr. Maro and the entire team at Cranberry Holistic Pet Hospital.

Loves it there!. He is thoroughly happy and worn out when I come to get them every afternoon. I just love the staff there. They’re just fantastic and the owner is fabulous. Couldn’t ask for a nicer guy and all their hearts and heads are in the right place so what’s best for our pups?

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Loafers Bread Co
1713 PA-228 D, CranberryI have been a loyal Loafers fan for over a decade, in Fox Chapel, then Wexford and now Cranberry. Of the 3, Wexford is the best. My visits to Cranberry location in late 2025 were often disappointing, specifically the shocking cost of everything! $13 for s quart of soup, $17 for a salad, and limited menu compared to the other locations. I was going to pickup a small salad today but will not as $16.99 for a salad??? Is it going to be bigger and better than a Panera for $10? Not going to take my chances.
Sad how good things are going down in this economy.

Zuppa's Delicatessen Cranberry
1185 Freedom Rd, CranberryThe BLT was excellent, with thick-cut bacon cooked perfectly and peppery arugula instead of tired iceberg lettuce. Their chicken sandwich was less interesting. The shrimp and corn chowder was flavorful and special, worth a trip out of your way. The restaurant itself was bare bones style where you order at the counter and the interior was cold for dining in. The man who took our order clearly didn't enjoy answering questions about the menu and was generally brusque at level that almost made us turn and leave. I would definitely eat here again but would do take-out only.

The Smiling Moose
8032 Rowan Rd, CranberryMy husband and I stopped here today for a late lunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The waffle fries with beer cheese were very good although a bit overpriced. The shrimp po boy tacos were very very good. But again the price was a little disappointing.. they were $16 and came with 2 rather large tacos but no side. My husband got the jack sparrow burger and it was quite delicious and cooked perfectly. The pasta salad side was interesting and different. The service was very good so no complaints there. I think given the ambiance (more divey than other places) I was hoping for better prices but the food was great so I'd recommend.

Recon Brewing at Meeder
301 Tillary Ln Suite A, CranberryAmazing service, great beer (I would recommend the BRC) and delicious food. One thing I will say is that the menu has changed slightly over the past 6 months of coming here. It would be great to have the crab cakes and the sriracha bourbon pizza back on the menu!

North Park Lounge Cranberry
20810 Rte 19, CranberryWe came out for our wedding party. We were married at Halloween and decided we loved the room, the fireplace...Everything was great. Marci was great to work with, any concerns we had, things we needed, she immediately helped us. We heard so much positive feedback, people loved the food. Especially the parmesan chicken! the servers assigned to us were FANTASTIC. I serve myself in the industry, and they were so much fun, attentive, and cared. I would highly recommend this venue for a small wedding, reception between the manager Marci, the service, the food, you can't beat it! Thank you all again! - Heather and Georgann Meyers

Mad Mex
20510 Perry Hwy, CranberryThey have vegan cheese and sour cream, so you can make lots of stuff on the menu vegan! I had the ‘PENNSYLTUCKY FRIED TOFU’ which is an appetiser, but it’s huge! (Hand for size reference) The tofu in the sauce is delicious, and it’s paired with bean sprouts. Updated from previous review on 2026-04-11

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill
7300 Cranberry Springs Dr, CranberryTable service was good although I ordered a cup of tea and the cup of hot water was half full so I asked for a second cup of hot water. We were asked if there was any food allergies - thank you. Our two entrees were shrimp and grits and the glazed garlic chicken with asparagus and cherry tomatoes. Both entrees were flavorful and prepared well. Good menu options for Sunday when you don't want brunch / breakfast.
