I had to go to pick up my things from my car and I had kayak racks on top of my car that had to be removed. I was injured in the crash, and they graciously took the racks off for me. “Michael, Bear, and Crystal did a great job rescuing my dead hybrid SUV from a crazy location. My car’s electrical system broke down suddenly when I was parked in a washed out parking strip alongside a small river. This was of course late in the afternoon on a holiday weekend. After an hour of talking with multiple towing services connected to my insurance company, and being told that they didn’t have the equipment to get this type of vehicle out of the sunken embankment, I called Keyes Towing in Media. Crystal immediately understood the topography and car technical issues on the call. Michael and Crystal came out and we all spent a lot of time figuring out how to extract this car from the 2’ washout ridge and embankment. I didn’t know what caused the car to die earlier, and the car’s default state was locked in park, brakes locked, and tailgate inoperable, and battery not able to be charged, so there were a lot of unknowns about how to safely move the car. Keyes called the Count Park Rangers to manage traffic along this very narrow and curved 2-lane road. They managed to safely extract the 5000-lb SUV using some very clever techniques and got it onto the flatbed. And they delivered the car to a parking space right next to the front door of a good local repair shop so it was easy to get the car in the queue when the shop open on the following Monday.
Great save, and I even made it to a holiday dinner that evening.”
