  Disappointed. I brought my dog in for grooming on Thursday, and it took a full four hours way too long for a standard grooming session. The result looked nothing like the reference photo I provided, seemed like just ran the clippers over randomly without any care or attention to detail. When I got my dog home, I noticed marks on her legs and belly that looked like clipper burns.

  Extremely bad grooming salon, have had 3 bad experiences now with Petsmart grooming salon Downingtown Pa, very bad customer service, Rude attitude, we had a grooming appointment for our Cavapoo with Jose on 6/24/2025 this person is rude, unprofessional and an Inexperienced groomer he does not understand plain english to follow your instructions.
  my 2 cents - Avoid booking your appointment with Jose......

  Im not sure where to start manager at this place has no customer experience at all very rude all I ask for was a coupon book for my new dog we adopted. They gave me expired coupon book first time and couldn't take it back and give me another one. Your best bet would be petco at west chester they are very nice and knowledgeable and also petco grooming are very good highly recommend petco in west chester

  Nice staff clean store and restroom. Found everything I need for my older cat in hard food and soft.

  worst experience ever. i saw two rats i wanted. asked to take them home because i already had enough basic stuff for them until i got them more enrichment for their cage. they said i could if i wanted but they needed to go to the vet because they had diarrhea. they said they would recommend us to wait and let them pay for it and they could contact us when they were better and that it would take about a week. they never called us. this was a thursday. so i called them the next friday or saturday. i waited to buy their stuff in case they got sold on us and they didn’t call. first of all i tried to call the day before and no one picked up the phone three seperate times. i called and a man said that they had medicine from the vet. HE SAID IT WOULD BE DONE SUNDAY. SO THEY WOULD BE READY MONDAY NIGHT. I LEFT THEM WITH MY NUMBER AGAIN. then i proceeded to spend a ton of money buying all theses things for the rats since it was confirmed i was literally getting them in three days. i drove half an hour from my house to this petsmart. for them to tell me they sold the rats the day before. i could have gone the day before and they literally said they woudlnt be ready until monday night. so they wasted my a whole ton of my gas time and money. and now i spent all this money on stuff for these rats and they’re not there anymore.

  so i went to get a glo fish for my others and the lady was like “how big is your tank” and we told her 5 gallons because when we originally got the tank, another employee recommended the one we got and she was like “the minimum is 10 gallons” then proceeded to say the one that passed that we had for a while died because of the tank like what..? idk that’s kinda crazy to say especially when one of her co workers recommended the tank

  Grabbed some flea and tick medicine for my buddies dog. We grabbed a pill form but got home and it was the wrong type/different smear on application type.

  Two stores within one day. No one in the fish department. I found an employee stocking shelves and I said can we have help and she said oh no, no fish today we don't have employees. So I went to the front to ask for a manager. That same employee stalk in the shelves came to the front. When I worked at PetSmart all the managers could you every department. This employee just wanted to talk on her phone and refuse to help us. If there's no manager on duty the general manager should immediately come if the general manager cannot come the district manager should come immediately.

  After reading other reviews regarding this store I found that I am not the first person who has been insulted by the Fish Department Manager as well as the store Manager. I tried to purchase 2 gold fish for
  my grandson’s and was told my 10 gallon tank was too small for 2 gold fish and she would not sell me any fish. “You need to do research regarding gold fish before you come into the store to buy gold fish”. I did the research brought it to the store and she would not read the information and told me I didn’t know what I was talking about. Again would not sell me the fish. I was able to go to a competitor who sold me the fish.

  If I could give this store zero stars, I would. Tried to buy 2 goldfish for my nephews and the “manager” with a degree in “marine biology” was uneducated, rude and clueless. I was treated with disrespect. Tried to buy Feeder Goldfish that would be fed to other fish anyway and they would sell to us. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I will never go to a PetSmart ever again.

  I like PetSmart downingtown. The employees there are very knowledgeable when it comes round the animals. The only reason I have a 4 star is because a few of the employees I encountered were not really enthusiastic to be there but were knowledgeable
