“As always, having Trish as a bartender makes First round this bar amazing. She attracts the best type of people.
Tonight we got to meet Ania. She seems sweet, attentive and will fill in the bar perfectly. Hopefully they give her Mondays and Fridays.
As someone who works from home on Monday and Friday she would be a welcome addition.

I look forward to have you as a bartender.”

“The lodge is beautiful and our room was very pleasant overlooking the golf course. I had an excellent cheese steak at the restaurant/bar! Overall a very nice stay.”

“First time here for a wedding event. The grounds were breath taking and well manicured. Nestled in the Pocono's.The venue inside was well maintained, clean and beautiful as well as the bathrooms and outside patio's.Cocktail hour seemed to go by very quickly, but there were plenty of appetizers of coconut shrimp, mini Philly cheesesteaks, cheeses, meats, fruits and more as well as ice cold beer, soda, cocktails and wine. The group at our table had the Chicken, Salmon and Beef dishes along with the vegetables of potatoes and asparagas. There wasn't any complaints and everyone truly must of enjoyed there dishes by the looks of it since they were pretty clean at the end. My steak was prepared beautifully and cooked to a medium rare perfection. It had me wanting more. All in all it was a great place for a wedding. We truly enjoyed ourselves.”

“This was the first time I went snow tubing, and I actually had a good time. Two hours and you can go like 4-5 times when they are full like yesterday. The weather condition was perfect as there was a snowstorm which actually made it more entertaining and the activity was extremely safe. One thing for sure, after a couple of times, it gets repetitive and starts losing its excitement. Regardless, you must try snow tubing at least once in your lifetime. It's not bad, but it would be good to have the family tubes. They only had singles and doubles.”

“Really like this place. Kids love it, too. Enthralling scavenger hunt, fun water rides

The food in the lodge is overpriced and not good. Everything tastes like creosote/smoked paprika and costs a small fortune. There is a great and affordable family diner next door (kids though they stepped into a time machine), a delicious Jamaican place 5 mins North, and Pho 5 minutes north of that - so location for food is surprisingly good

Rooms: Spacious and appealing with cute kids cabin.

Nearby activities: Better Food options than we expected, skiing, camelback, gun ranges, poconos outlets

Safety: Very safe

Walkability: Rooms are a long walk, but good excercise

Food and drinks: Drinks are ok, food is not good. They need to do better.

Noteworthy details: Magiquest is interesting and a top-tier scavenger hunt that forces kids to get excercise”

“The wife and I are staying for 3 nights.....the whole place is empty.... Feels like the Shinning... Price is on point.... Dude at the bar who served me breakfast was Kool....Staff is even hard to find.... We love it.... Me and the wife made so much noise and I violate insurance at the crazy level that would have gotten this thrown out of other hotels.... Four stars because the room is draftye”

“We decided to stay at this hotel because it was near the highway. As we walked in the front staff greeted and welcomed us. Front area was nice and clean. As we walked into the room when noticed a nice floral scent in the room. Room was spacious, clean and cool since it was hot outside in July. Furniture and light fixtures were dated but it didn’t cause an issue for us. Bed was comfy and breakfast was pretty good. A huge plus for us was that it was near I-80. Ok now that’s the pro. For the cons, we wanted to be fair and point out some of the cons.
1.) Juice/water machine was broken during breakfast time.
2.) Although the bed was made on the second day we’d requested, there were cookie crumbs on the bed from the day before.
3.) The soda machine on the second floor did not have the option for credit cards, only cash.
4.) We’d requested a few towels but had to pick up the towels at the front desk.
5.) Read other reviews about the poor plumbing - well I guess it’s true. Bathtub was clogged - draining extremely slow.

In spite of these cons, we would definitely stay again. Hopefully some of the cons will be addressed.”
