The Erie Food Co-op is a community-owned grocery store with two locations in Erie, PA. Their focus is to provide the best possible customer experience and support a thriving local food system for their member-owners and community. The stores offer a variety of healthy food options to accommodate different budgets and dietary needs. Customers generally enjoy the cafe, which has many vegetarian and vegan options, as well as the selection of grocery items not found in other local stores. The bulk food section is considered a good deal, though some find the overall prices to be quite expensive. While the staff is typically friendly and helpful, one reviewer noted a grumpy cashier who did not provide a warm greeting. Overall, the Erie Food Co-op aims to be a customer-focused establishment, as evidenced by an employee researching a way for a customer to order a specific product.
Love coming here usually but this morning the cashier was very grumpy. I said hi to her and she did not say back. She also angrily gave me a bag after I asked for it… We all have bad days, but you need to put on a happy face for work.

The cafe food was very good. All menu items can be made vegan and gluten-free. Also shopped in the grocery store. It was nice to find a variety of items not available in my local stores.
