“Market District is Giant Eagle's upscale grocery store chain. For my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary party, I ordered catered food from this Market District. I will write a positive 4-star review for this particular location of Market District because the catered food tasted very good, but I do want to point out that the employees committed some large mistakes. Read on:Over two weeks before the party, I called the store to ask about their cut-off time for ordering catered food and their recommended pickup hour. The manager said that he needed only 3+ days of advance notice, and he recommended that I select a pickup time that was close to the time of the party so the hot food would remain hot. On that same day, I ordered the food through Giant Eagle's website. The website sent me an automated email that listed the specific foods, quantities, prices, and pickup time. Minutes later, a team leader emailed me to confirm my catering order.My in-laws' anniversary party would begin at 4 PM, so our pickup time was 3-3:30 PM. On the day of the party, I and three family members arrived at the catering area at 2:50 PM (yes, a bit early) to pick up the foods. The catering area was located near the aisle that has beers and wines. A catering employee kindly greeted us, and he began to carefully place our foods into our shopping carts. My order was large, and the employee tried his best to keep track of the foods as he removed them from refrigerators and warmers and placed the containers in our shopping carts. Unfortunately, the sushi department had misread our order of 6 trays as only 1 tray, so we had to wait a long time for the employees to make 5 additional trays of sushi. Then the catering employee accidentally dropped 1 tray of sushi on the floor, so we had to wait again for the sushi employees to make additional sushi. In total, we waited for about one hour! Because of the mistakes with the sushi, my husband and I ended up arriving late to the anniversary party. Before we departed the grocery store, the catering employee and the sushi employees sincerely apologized to us multiple times. The manager or team leader also apologized, and he handed us a gift card for $10. We had paid a total of $1,379.44 for the food, so the $10 gift card seemed very small.Here are my reviews for the catered foods:Hand-breaded chicken tenders - 5 stars - These chicken tenders were a large size, contained juicy white meat, and had a slightly salty breading. I had chosen sauces in flavors of buffalo, BBQ, garlic parmesan, and honey mustard. My family members said that they really liked these chicken tenders.Fruit platters - 5 stars - These fruit platters consisted of strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew, pineapple, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. These fruits were fresh and tasted very good.Mini-sandwich platters - 4 stars - I had ordered one platter with roast beef, ham, and turkey sandwiches and one platter with egg salad, tuna salad, and chicken salad. The sandwiches were a convenient size, and they tasted OK.Crudite platters - 4.5 stars - The vegetables included fresh tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, carrots, cucumbers, carrots, and celery sticks. In the middle was a container of ranch dip.Caesar salad - 3 stars - This salad contained romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, and croutons. The lettuce and cheese were fresh, but the croutons were soggy. The employees forgot to give us caesar dressing!Meatballs - 4 stars - These meatballs were Italian-style and were served hot with marinara sauce. I ate one meatball and thought that it tasted fine.Macaroni salad - 4.5 stars - The ingredients of pasta, celery, onions, egg, and mayonnaise-dijon dressing tasted very good.Cheese and pepperoni trays - 4.5 stars - These trays contained colby jack, swiss, pepperjack, and cheddar cheeses as well as pepperoni and beef sticks. On the side were pimento cheese and jalapeño cheese for dipping.Potato salad - 4.5 stars - The ingredients of potatoes, celery, onion, egg, mayonnaise-dijon dressing, and relish tasted ver”

“Always a great experience to shop here. Very organized and easy to find what I need. The clothes selection is very good and the prices are fantastic. Shop and pay is so easy to use and to skip the line even makes it better. Not a big bulk item purchaser but I do like to browse and see the seasonal items that are available.”

They always had sometimes better advice then anyone else.. I even had a problem with broken vessels in my eye and the pharmacist took time out of what he was doing and. Came out to look me and give me suggestion about it

“I had the best oil change here I've ever had, which was at this North Huntington, PA location this morning. I called early this morning for an appointment, and the woman who answered was very helpful in getting me scheduled the same day. Then, when I arrived, the woman who checked me in, Joyous, was absolutely that-an absolute joy. She was warm and friendly and made a genuine connection with me rather than just getting my info and sending me away to wait. I've never had such a pleasant experience getting an oil change. My service was also fast, and she rang me up at the end with more fun conversation that had me laughing and smiling. It was overall just such a great experience, and I hope that she can somehow be recognized for making such a dull chore into a wonderful time!”

“I really like going to the CVS in New Kensington. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They contact the Dr, if needed for a prescription. They really go out of their way to help !”

“Love this GE. We have been here twice now since we moved to the area. The seafood counter is amazing. The only thing they are missing is the fresh made sushi ?. Their mums are beautiful and priced great at $5.99 each right now!The store is always clean and stocked well and all staff interaction has been exceptionally friendly and helpful. As with all grocery stores, they are a little pricey but we go for the great sale prices.”

“Very nice and helpful pharmacy techs and pharmacist. They actually had my son's medicine that all the major pharmacies were out of for months and still can't get in. Also, very clean and they offer other amenities there too which is nice for being a smaller pharmacy. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone. Plus they also deliver! So bonus :)”

“My small local pharmacy closed abruptly, with only a 2 day notice given to its customers . My family and I were simply shuffled over to a large chain pharmacy across the street. This was done without any consideration, that this new pharmacy doesn't even accept our insurance. I searched high and low for a family owned and operated local pharmacy, hence why am here. A new customer With Salem Crossroads Apothecary. From day one everyone from the extremely pleasant and always helpful Pharmacist DJ to the ancillary staff, it is ALWAYS a positive experience. The cost is much better , the wait time is almost nothing at all, and they sell the cutest little items for the holidays. We need more locally owned
pharmacies and other businesses alike. You are treated like you actually matter and that you are not a burden when you walk in. I give this establishment a solid 10 out of 5 rating , as they are that wonderful.”

“After having my files transferred to CVS by the closing of Rite Aid, I wasn't thrilled since I've heard bad things about CVS from other people. I'm glad to say they were wrong! The CVS app is extremely organized and structured so well, I hit 1 button for a refill and that was it. Went to the store to pick up my prescriptions and everything went incredibly smooth and so easy! I totally understand why that Rite Aid store closed. I will be staying with CVS. Another comment from my own experiences...If you live near or on E Pittsburgh St make CVS your pharmacy! Precision Care used to be great until one of the pharmacist decided that he knew better than my doctor and caused me 2 months of problems and unnecessary comments about my doctors prescriptions for me. “WOW ! I have a new prescription that I was starting, the pharmacist, "Melissa" discovered that was going to conflict with my current medication I was on. She called my doctor's office right then and there! He changed my prescription so that it was compatible with my current medication! EVERYONE I've ever talked to at the Giant Eagle Pharmacy in Harrison City has been fantastic! Pharmacist Melissa exceeded my expectations! Thank you Melissa and staff!”

Anticipating trouble and delays, but they processed it, put in the insurance information, filled it, and had us on our way in about 30 minutes.
