“My favorite antique store, and the owner is so talented in what looks best- she has such style in determining what looks best. I could buy everything, if I could- the most beautiful items!!!!”

“What a great store run by such nice people. They have a love of furniture and helping their customers feel like they’re being heard and not just sold to. We brought our young kids and they were super accommodating. Kids had a blast playing and chatting with Barbara and we got a great sideboard for our dining room. Can’t wait to show it off. Highly recommend.”

“Bob is a gem. Such a nice, knowledgeable man who really cares about preserving Philly's architectural history. It's a shame that there are so few salvage places left in the city.”

“Nick and Suzie are wonderful owners! Suzie was very responsive in messages and worked with my schedule for pickup. Nick loaded the statue into my car and explained how to care for it. Their collection is also well-curated and the welcoming nature of the two made it a pleasure to visit.”

“On the hunt for a 24”ish round side table… I was lead to this place by another local antique store owner. I found what I was looking for and received great service. The furniture and accessories in this store are worth stopping in and checking out. The owner was wonderful to speak with and knew his inventory! I will most definitely stop by again.”

“Wherever they relocate to, we will have to come by, because they have such a wide variety of antiques here. Since they are in the process of moving, everything was very unorganized, but if you stumble upon this place while they're open like we did, stop by! Lots of hidden gems inside.”

“I've been here consistently for 3 years (& counting) & it took me this long to write a review?!? So my review is based on my many years of experience shopping at Circle Thrift (CT). Get ready as this will be the most comprehensive review ever on my favorite store in Philly (& maybe all of America? maybe the entire world?). Times I've spent here At most: 2x / week Usually: weekly At least: biweekly CT standard not-on-sale $ (pricing system): Prices here are undefeatable! The cheapest you'll find anywhere! Frugal people gather around! Orange tags: $15 Any colored tags depend on the week: for the colors not on sale, unless otherwise specially marked: Men's Shirts: Short-sleeves: $3; Long-sleeves: $4 Tanks: $3 Bras: @@@@@ Underwear: (don't remember seeing boxers) Swimwear: 1-piece set: $4; 2-piece set: $2/ per piece T-shirt Top (Female): $3 Long-sleeve blouses/shirts: $4 Pants, Shorts: $4 Pants, Long: $5 Leggings: $4 Athletic Tops: $3 Athletic Pants: $4 Dresses: $7 Skirts: $4 Suits: $10 Blazers: $6 Trousers (Men): $10 Sweaters: $5 Ties: $1 Lounge/Sleepwear: $4 Sweatshirts: $5 Sweatpants: $4 Outerwear: $10 Kids clothing: $1 Shoes: as marked price Books in CT2: hardcovers: $2, softcovers: $1 Items in CT2: (ie furniture, large items, knickknacks) as marked price Items I've seen here: A whole range for different genders and age groups including newborns & children. Since CT is located in Fishtown, a hip neighborhood, the items that are donated here are usually purchased by people with modern/ good taste. I've also heard wealthy people donate newly bought items here for tax benefit/write-off purposes. I've seen anywhere from fast fashion items (H&M, SHEIN, Forever21, Walmart, etc.) to quality (anthropology, everlane, Banana Republic, J. Crew) to high-end (Brooks Brothers, Stuart Weissman) to luxury brands (though I don't think they authenticate items nor am I able to distinguish so buy at your own caution. But I saw brands like Fenty, LV, Gucci, Valentino, etc.) Any items you'd think they'd have, they'll have albeit not in store all the time but if the timing and coincidence are right, it'll be there. & any item you don't think you'll need, but you buy to need, you'll find here. From lingerie to undergarments, to cookware & dish-ware & utensils & appliances, to electronics, to footwear of all kinds including ice skating boots, to clothing of all kinds including coats and scrubs, even wedding dresses, to socks and hats, to newborn & baby onesies/ footsies, baby accessories like hats & shoes & bibs & toys, to seasonal decors & gift bags/ cards, to the arts & crafts corner with yarn, to linens, bedding & cushions, to suitcases & personal bags of all kinds (book bags, duffles, female bags), to garden pots, to PJs, Pros about this store: Discount/ sale system: & explanation of their turnover rates: Weekly items discount for 50¢ for that week's color (of items less/ = $10) or 1/2 off (no limit) for that week's second color. Weekly discounts begin on Wednesdays. Items have fast turnover rates in the store (unlike Goodwill which is why Goodwill seems like digging through trash) + affordable pricing system + discount system = there's always treasures to be found. If an item is without its color price tag, it will automatically be CT's regular price. To describe it; Small selection but fast turnovers, so it's best to go often as there are new items every day. Staffing: The people here are so friendly! I've always seen Ivan here & he brightens our day! Scotty is a ray of sunshine in CT2. The only cons/downsides: No bathroom for public use... due to privilege being abused by druggies... *sigh*, but they're not unreasonable about it if you're pregnant. I'd go to Riverwards Produce Market grocery store or Cake And Joe bakery for a close bathroom (see Google map picture). No haggling. Strict about this one even if the condition of the item is not ”

“Nice spot for sure, with a wide range of teas. Most cafe's are coffee focused, only offering a few tea bags, this place has tons of tea brewed loose leaf with care. There are very few seats though so keep that in mind, its a small place, i think there are 4 tables 2 of which are 2 tops. Had a really nice relaxing time here for sure.”

“I love this place beyond words! I used to live in Philly and would visit the store in person often. Now that I've been living in Los Angeles for over a decade, I'm grateful I can still shop at Indigo online. Over the last few years I have purchased two of my favorite pieces of art - both Haitian beaded voodoo flags. They are breathtaking. The shop owner, Tony was incredibly helpful in answering my myriad of questions. It's not easy to find crafts from all vast areas around the world, so a shop like this is a true treasure.”

“Bought three vintage chairs from Scott: two Danish armchairs and a fiberglass Herman Miller rocking chair--all beautiful pieces. Would be 5 stars if not for the fact that the rocking chair broke, but Scott graciously took the chair back and gave us a refund.”

“I enjoy the post from Isabelle Sparrow, but just realized I had not seen them on a long while. The algorithm writers do not know me and should not be choosing for me.”

“So, after a wonderful Sunday brunch at Springmill Cafe, we decided to take a look at the offerings at Bird in Hand Consignment. Immediately, I spotted this clock in their display window. The price required no negotiation! I took the clock home, set it up for testing, and discovered that it was quite a bit older than I realized. Instead of brass, nearly all of the wheels in the movement were made of wood! The clock was manufactured by Boardman and Wells in Bristol Conn sometime between 1832 and 1843.This is a clock that will be in my permanent collection! And Bird in Hand Consignment will be on my must visit list.”

“Walked in just to check out the store & browse. They had so many different items. It was enjoyable to talk to the owner & walk through. So much history with each item. I did buy a small decorative piece. Looking forward to going back.”

“Moved in to my new apartment and was in need for some quaint mid-century pieces. Website was easy to use, up to date inventory. Saw a table I loved and was in the next day to see it. Brian and his team was courteous, allowed me time and space to view the pieces at my own pace (which is rare to find in retail)! Appreciated their advice concerning matching chairs for the table. Delivery was seamless and they were able to accommodate my work hours to deliver. Jerome provided excellent delivery and helped with unpacking. Could not have had a better experience and will definitely be going back to them for when I need more furniture. Thank you everyone at Mid Century Furniture!”

“The Clover Market actually moves around the area, and the one I went to this year was held in Collingswood. I heard it was the only one in Jersey this year. They claim there are 100 vendors, but I really don't feel like it was that many, though I saw that there were a few booths were artists split a booth. Now, this ain't your neighborhood grandma using Michael's ribbons on sale with her 25% coupon to make wreaths that you slap onto your front door. For many of the booths, it was gallery quality, and the prices reflect as such. Everyone was super, super friendly. My favorite booth was the guy who handcrafted amazing whirligigs. I had to buy a flying pig that used bird feathers to catch a breeze. Stunning, and for $40, I had to get it.”

“Jeff is an honest and knowledgable person. He's given me great deals on collectibles I've sold in the past, and also is honest with me and points me in the direction of a place if he thinks I'd get a better deal there. I trust him completely and highly recommend him to anybody”

“Thrift store feel with authentic vintage pricing, without any real authentication of the items. However they have a cutest little old doggo who was very friendly and greeted us.”

“They fixed one of my dining room chairs that needed a new spindle created and it looks like it was never broken. Super nice (I could have talked to them all day) and great to work with, as well as affordable. Head down the alley past the mural of the lady with a cup of coffee and you'll find the shop.”
