Colton Motel offers a convenient and affordable stay in the heart of Gettysburg, with easy access to a variety of local attractions, restaurants, and shops. The motel is praised for its prime location, allowing guests to walk to the Gettysburg National Cemetery and other points of interest. The friendly and attentive staff enhance the experience, ensuring a welcoming environment. The accommodations, while clean and reasonably priced, are noted to be dated, with a 1970s aesthetic. Some rooms, such as room #33, are spacious enough for families, featuring multiple bedrooms. However, guests have mentioned issues like low toilets and windows that do not lock properly. Despite these drawbacks, the motel remains a popular choice due to its affordability and proximity to everything Gettysburg has to offer. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere at night and the basic amenities provided, such as air conditioning and cable TV. Although some rooms may require minor maintenance, the overall experience is deemed satisfactory for those seeking a budget-friendly option in a central location. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead for bookings, as advance reservations can be challenging.
The hospitality was very good. Hospitality does not make up for for people living there. The maintenance workers were very questionable , 👎

My wife and I stayed there in 1986 in March. Although it was earl season everything was in peak season condition. Room was very clean and neat, owner/staff very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions on attractions and dining.

Located close to the Gettysburg battlefield. A relatively inexpensive lodging for anyone looking to stay for the night. They have a microwave and small refrigerator for each room. A good stop for those looking to survey the landmark for a trip.
