Pet Care
Dodson John a DVM
996 Old Harrisburg Rd, GettysburgWe were traveling in the area and our 12 year old Australian Shepard jumped down and injured her back leg. Not being from around here, I called the office and they were able to get her in that day and fixed her. Very grateful for the help and they were very compassionate and loving toward our baby. Highly recommended

Gettysburg Animal Hospital Inc
996 Old Harrisburg Rd, GettysburgIf I could give this provider a million stars I would! We became acquainted with them when one of our goldens needed ACL surgery back in 2020. We live over 30 minutes away but we made them our permanent vet. The cost is half of what you would pay locally in Harrisburg area. Beyond that though the amount of time they spend on each visit is phenomenal. This is a very busy vet practice but never once did we feel rushed in our visits. Ease of getting appointments is amazing as well. Finally we ultimately had to have our goldens cross the rainbow bridge ( our beautiful Beau was just yesterday). The compassion and care is beyond compare.Too raw and soon to determine if we get a new dog/s but if we do we will continue with Gettysburg— completely worth the travel timeSteve and Kathy Sudak

Chubby's Pizza, Wings & More
885 Taneytown Rd, GettysburgCute place on the back end of the battlefield. Mozzarella sticks were really good and cooked perfectly! The chili dog was just ok. Not enough chili and cheese sauce overpowered the bun. The pizza was good, but the sauce was tangy, overly chunky, and acidic. For the price was a good value and would go back!

Reid's Winery Tasting Room and Cider House
400 Baltimore St, GettysburgI stopped in on a Saturday late afternoon. I had time to burn while waiting for my tour of the Jennie Wade house up the street and I saw this on the map. It’s a small place from what I saw, I sat on the closed in porch room and watched people and traffic passing from the window while I drank my cider. The cider was a bit too sweet for my preference, sort of more like a wine but a lot of people do like it that way. The bartenders were friendly. It looked like they might have outdoor seating behind the building but not totally sure if that was another business or a public area - there is an ice cream shop next door. I parked on the street. Meter parking payable to app or website. I think it was $2.50ish for 2 hours. I’d say if you like cider, stop in and give them a try. They do have wine too. I didn’t notice food options but maybe I just missed that because I wasn’t looking for any.

Forever Love Rescue at the Kitty Corner
39 Queen St, GettysburgRecently adopted a cute 6 month old calico from here. The free style living allowed at Forever Love made her transition seamless. She was already litter trained, acclimated to other cats and a good eater. Thanks to the supplied medical records I could confidently introduce her to my current cat and he was the one that needed to get used to her. Within a few days they were playing together. The excellent care she had received at Forever Love prepared her for the future. Great work!
