The Dirty Dawg Self Serve Dog Wash
224 North Church St C-2, ThurmontWe were on our way to OBX with our two swissys during a heatwave. One of them had a heatstroke and we stopped by for help. Becky was lifesaver with prompt action and knowledge. Got some additional cooling supplies and spent 1-2 hrs cooling the dogs.

The entire staff worked with us affording us time in the waiting area to explore, the lovely staff kindly came out to greet my dogs w treats and sat on the floor, and I was encouraged with new ideas to be a better handler despite my agility training, I will receive new directions! The actual time with the doctor was full of peace, understanding, and kindness- one of a kind appointment. I am so grateful. I have training work ahead to make my next appointment better. For all others, I highly recommend this facility. You will have a hard time finding better. Also,

The tasting flight offered an impressive variety of wines, giving us the chance to sample everything from crisp whites to rich reds and sparkling selections. My friend and I genuinely enjoyed the majority of the wines we tasted, which made choosing a favorite difficult.
A standout for us was the sparkling Albariño—we loved it so much that we ended up enjoying a bottle there!
The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and inviting, with a cozy tasting room that made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. One of the biggest perks is that they’re dog-friendly, which is always a huge plus, and they also allow guests to bring in outside food, making it easy to settle in and spend an afternoon there.
If you’re looking for a welcoming winery with a generous tasting selection, great wine, and a laid-back atmosphere, this place is definitely worth a visit. We’ll be back!

Bollinger's Restaurant and Uncle Dirtys Brew Works
210 North Church Street, ThurmontWe were in town for the monthly car cruise in and stopped by here. We got corn fritters for appetizer and shared the 5 meat slider platter with fries. We tried all meats and sauces and they were all amazing. I tried 5 out of 7 beers on tap, they weren’t bad but not my favorite. Service was amazing, quick and the food was hot. We took desert home a peanut butter banana pie and blondies. Both were amazing. The atmosphere is a small town dinner and nothing fancy. As long as you can get past that, the food and service can’t be beat!

The venue speaks for itself but my wife Raven and I really want to give thanks to Brian, Loree and the rest of the team at Springfield Manor. From the communications before the wedding to the wedding day itself they were fantastic.
Brian and the team were always responsive to our questions.
We also noticed how Brian treats his team members cuz it extended to how his team treated us and our guests .
We could tell that they serve with love and respect and it was evident how happy everyone was on our special day.
