Giant Eagle Pharmacy is consistently unreliable. They constantly give misleading information about what’s needed for prescriptions, and medications are never ready on time. Even when they say a script is ready, the wait is ridiculously long. It’s frustrating and disappointing to deal with this every time.
Save yourself the trouble, don’t go here!

This pharmacy is not worth the time. I have been waiting two days for a prescription that a desperately need. Yesterday went in and they said it would be ready in 30 minutes, and today I go in to pick up and they said they had to order it. If you're on psyche meds or maintenence drugs they treat you like youre not human and make you wait extra 2 or 3 hrs for your meds that are pre counted in the box they give. The pharmacist was trying so hard to get a reaction out of me but it didn't work so she was just rude along with the other techs

As a longtime GE customer, I hate that I have to leave a 1 star review but someone at this location REALLY needs to address some problems. I just did a 24/7 Virtual doctor visit where a prescription was sent to them. They apparently also service some sort of long term care at this pharmacy but the contact info is NOT differentiated between the two different services. Unfortunately, instead of doing the reasonable thing and asking for clarification from the doctor, this pharmacy, per explanation from a pharmacy tech on site, simply disregarded it. No notification to the doctor and none to the customer. This is now, I believe, the third time that this has happened. THAT is inexcusably bad and unprofessional service. In addition, earlier this year, I stopped a couple of standard maintenance prescriptions not just because of a better deal thru my employer healthcare plan but because of painfully slow service, both in terms of time to refill a prescription as well as time on site picking up. In addition, this location could never get details correct regarding the 30/60/90 day supply choice. BTW, despite filling out some of the post point of purchase surveys, no one has ever contacted me to learn about these issue(s) in an attempt to correct them.

everytime i’ve gone here i’ve had a terrible experience. i went to get my refill today and they lied to me several times and said it would be ready once my dermatologist called it in, which they called in days ago, and once my doctor called them to tell them they already called it in, they proceeded to tell me it was “out of stock” after telling me for hours that it was ready. I didn’t pick it up as soon as it was ready because i was sick and i had until the 28th and it is currently the 26th. One of the workers proceeded to say that “i am a women and that i should’ve picked it up when it was prescribed” and blamed it on me. I felt extremely disrespected and would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. The staff was not helpful at all and were all super rude and disrespectful towards me.

Understaffed:
I've always found the pharmacy staff to be professional, helpful and courteous (5*).
Unfortunately there are not enough of them to handle phones, in-store and drive thru during peak hours.
Additionally the automated phone system could use an overhaul.

If I could have left 0 stars I would have. Sent in my refill 3 days ago. I now have one dose of my seizure medication left that I take twice daily. I just worked a 9 hour shift and have to get some sleep before work again. First of all, the gentleman and the counter had no customer service skills whatsoever. He was lecturing me after he told me it would take over an hour to fill that prescription. It kinda seems to me like someone didn’t do their job if it takes 3 full days to fill two scripts. Will be switching asap so I won’t have to deal with this (has happened multiple times) again.

I just had the absolutely worst experience at this Giant Eagle Pharmacy. I have been a customer for many years, and put up with inaccuracies in the past, and rude service, and never left a review, but this is uncalled for.. I was in the drive-through line this evening at around 7:48 PM. The big black truck in front of me was at the window talking to whoever in the Pharmacy, and never pulled out until 8:10 PM. I know the pharmacy has cameras, so they knew I had been behind him for a while, but when I pulled up, they were closing the window. I honked and was just ignored. The prescription I had to pick up was urgent, and I had to take it this evening, which I will not be able to, and I could not go in the store due to illness. These employees have other people’s lives in their hands and they treat people like this! Whatever was going on with the customer in the big black truck, they could’ve kindly asked him to pull up so they could have helped me, or they could’ve helped me when he pulled away. I did call into the Giant Eagle store because the pharmacy wouldn’t answer, and spoke to a manager who kindly took my information and will email the supervisor, but that still does not help me this evening. I do appreciate her though.

I have never had so much trouble getting a prescription from here. I have been waiting for six days for a prescription. I am always running out of meds. I called today and they told me my doctor never called them back to approve a refill. I called him and his nurse said she called them on the 24th, it is the 29th. I had an upper respiratory infection a few months ago and had to wait five days for a z-pack. A few months ago I was in the ER and they called in a prescription for me, it took three days. Worst service ever 😒

Disappointed in service and treatment. The techs are so short and seem irritated saying maybe insurance issues…I had called Monday to refill prescription and they said in by Tuesday, yet today is Thursday and it’s still pending with pharmacist

Not thier faut, but UPMC partners in health has made a mess out of getting prescriptions called in, they kept sending them to Giant Eagle Long Term Care, when I was specific about the store # and address! Thanks Giant Eagle Pharmacy for getting this corrected.

Our pharmacy closed and our account went to this GE. Since the move in January we have had nothing but issues. They always say they'll have our prescriptions ready that day but never (not once) do. It's always days later and lots of calls to them to get them to straighten out some problem before we actually get our prescription. I never thought a pharmacy could have such bad customer service. They always make some excuse was to why the medicine isn't ready yet. I am tired of it.
One positive..... maybe.... they get the prescription medicine correct. So that has not been screwed up yet. Anyone else have continuous bad service here.
