“I cannot say enough great things about the Dolphins Aquatic Club. We joined in 2021 when our former club was shut down for Covid and it was the best move we could have made. The coaches are amazing and very knowledgeable and we are like a big family. Our swimmers go on to become very successful in their swimming careers. My son has made great friends and his skill level has improved so much since working with this coaching staff. If you are looking for a great swim team with a family feel this is the club to join.”

“I usually go to the Roosevelt Blvd clinic but this was just as exceptional aside from the quality of surrounding area. Technicians were top notch with communication and timeliness of services. I would really like to mention Luis from the call center for this industry for handling a very urgent situation I had. He went above and beyond to ensure myself and my pets were taken care of during a very stressful situation. Every workplace deserves employees like Luis, he was one of a kind.”

“We recently adopted our saluki from NGAP and had such a great experience. It's clear Megan and Bobbi have a passion for what they do and genuinely want to see these dogs end up in good homes. Megan took a lot of time out of her schedule to show us several dogs and even let us come with our other dog to meet the ones we were most interested in. There are so many sweet dogs here and we genuinely wish we could have taken more than one home! We love the boy we ended up adopting -- he is such a great fit into our lives. Couldn't recommend NGAP enough.”

“This comment is long overdue, but better late than never, I guess.

First, it's worth mentioning that I was an organic farmer for a little over a decade and have been an agricultural consultant now with a research institution for seven years. I’ve visited farms all over the country and talked with growers, toured their operations, and have seen hundreds of different ag endeavors from small community gardens to tens of thousands of acres of commodity crop production.

I can tell you without a doubt, that the farmers at Pennypack are the best organic vegetable farmers in the Northeastern United States. Kirstie and Steph might cringe to hear me say that, because they’re humble, good people. But it’s the truth.

First, you’ll never find a CSA share more generous than this one. I still don’t understand how they produce so much food on the modest amount of acreage available to them, but they do. They do it year after year, battling through extreme weather events, with no identifiable decrease in the share volume. It’s an incredible feat. Every week, we left with bags and bags of produce. In the summer, it was literally too much for one person to carry. I say this not to add the pressure of unrealistic expectations to their lives; farm seasons are more unpredictable than ever and it may not always be this way. But Kirstie & Steph have an unparalleled ability to produce massive amounts of healthy food and it's proven out every season.

Second, the quality of what they produce is so high that it makes me embarrassed to say I was ever a farmer. Do you know how hard it is to grow a Napa cabbage without little holes from flea beetles? I legitimately thought it was impossible. Do you know how absolutely infuriating it is to grow good quality carrots? They make it look easy. And yet, this is the norm for the farmers at Pennypack. Everything is beautiful, and it tastes exactly the way it looks.

Finally, I have yet to meet farmers like Kirstie and Steph that do the amazing work that they do, care so deeply about their community, and do it with little or no fanfare or public recognition. Farmers with their depth of knowledge and expertise are rare. They’re precious to our society. And if young people don’t continue to engage with farming, the combined mental library that Kirstie and Steph have amassed via practical experience will simply go away. Very few will ever know how to farm like that on that specific piece of land ever again. Yet every year, even with the thousands of other things they have to focus on, they take the time to train and teach new & beginning farmers and send them out into the world.

The people at Pennypack - Julie, Audrey, Kirstie, and Steph - are smart and passionate, they’re kind to everyone, and I hope people that become CSA members in the future will appreciate that the farm is an extraordinary place. Hundreds of families and their kids have enjoyed visiting to pick strawberries, tomatoes, peas, and beans grown with great effort and care. It's a place where you can feel safe in the knowledge that nothing was sprayed with harmful inputs, where the entire farm and surrounding forest is brimming with life, and where you can bring your kids to engage with a real working farm that lives in concert with nature.

Our daughter’s first-ever strawberry was from the farm. It was a special moment that I’ll never forget. What could be better than that?

Sign up and support your local farmers!”

“This is perhaps one of the most underrated natural wonders in the area! There is so much to enjoy and appreciate about this green oasis! Miles of looping trails that meander across the rolling hills, pond with bench seating for watching the wildlfie, nifty and winding boardwalk, active adventure book about bees for small kids that requires them to walk to each of the 16 pages. Definitely a place more for leisure walk than running. The restroom at the Visitor Center is the best public bathroom I have used in quite some time! Reminds me of a super modern airport and the bathrooms past security checkpoints. Near the VC, there are also plants for sale (pay inside). Trail markers are well placed and color coded for easier navigation (still got turned around once or twice!). *Note that the inner trails do not allow dogs (or bikes for that matter) to preserve and protect the habitat of the animals calling this place home (the attention to detail and care for all species is commended!). Fittingly, the labrador trail near the creek is dog and bike friendly so don't fret! There are numerous signs providing information about all the different projects happening and what areas are off limits. This is done in a very polite and not overbearing way. The whole time I was there, I could see evidence that a lot of care, love, and attention has gone into creating, preserving, and improving this space. Parking lot is sizeable (although there were limited spaces left on a Saturday afternoon). Lastly, look for the baby groundhogs living under the little red house who enjoy munching on the greens near the garden fountain!”

“Came here earlier today to bring a friend to the nature center, unfortunately the museum was closed at 1pm . Wish we could have seen inside. Been going to all the nature centers in Pennsylvania we can. Other then that it was beautiful, small but nice , plenty of animals around. The bird blind was nice and air conditioned. After went to mini golf down the street”

“We are proud to partner with this excellent organization. Having accurate information is essential for making us all more aware about dementia as a society, and for helping people with a diagnosis and their caregivers. Their commitment to helping families retain quality of life, as the disease progresses, is to be applauded, and the Ginny Awards are a welcome recognition of the work of many non-profits. Thank you for all you do!”

“I attended this school starting when I was 3 years old to 5 years old..I graduated in the spring of 1997. My class was the first class to graduate in the building on Rising Sun Avenue…

I have so many memories of going here when I was little that I hold in my heart forever. The teachers and the therapists were always so nice and supportive.

Thank you for being the stepping stone to my life as a child and helping me become the man I am today!
