Silver Birches is a charming lakeside inn located in a quiet area near Hawley, offering a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. The property features wonderful views of the lake from the rooms and porch, with acres of land to walk and explore along the lakeside. Guests often describe the inn as having a breathtaking ambiance and a quintessential charm that makes it feel more like a second home than just a hotel. Many visitors have celebrated special moments here, including weddings, thanks to its beautiful setting and memorable views. The rooms are generally clean and comfortable, with some noting that they are a bit dated but still charming and well-maintained. The inn’s hospitality and staff are highly praised, with many guests feeling warmly welcomed and cared for, often describing their experience as visiting family. The fireplace adds a cozy touch, enhancing the relaxing atmosphere. However, service aspects such as food and amenities are sometimes disappointing. Breakfast options are limited, with offerings like boiled eggs, store-bought yogurt, and muffins, which some find unacceptable for the price. The on-site restaurant closes early, and there is no room service or microwave in the rooms. After 9 PM, staff availability is limited, which can affect convenience. Despite these service issues, guests still enjoy the inn’s location, views, and overall experience, considering it a great place to unwind and enjoy nature’s quiet beauty.
I got married here and I liked the wedding coordinator but whole hotel experience was a nightmare.

Had a lovely stay mid snowstorm. Rooms seemed a bit dated but we could see the picture of coffee on the deck looking at the lake. Appreciated the hospitality would stay again. Fireplace was a great touch!
