“Definitely some cute shops in here! I recommend checking it out, if nothing else, for the history of the building. It has some boutique-type stores that sell candles, clothing, jewelry, and art gallery. It also has a fitness center (I know guests of nearby Ledges Hotel get access for duration of stay). It's not a place to go shopping for something specific, but rather meander the stores for 30-60 minutes.”

This gives a cozy cabin mixed with farm to table kind of vibe. The eating area in the hotel lounge is pretty spacious, with a fireplace and everything, but we opted for take out.

Incredibly easy to phone in an order, really friendly and they called back with the approximate pickup time. Everything compacted in a small bag, but (as you can see from my plated pictures) still doesn't affect the beautiful presentation potential of the entrees.

The filet mignon at medium rare was amazingly tender, and the roasted squash had the perfect autumn char. The pork tenderloin was easy to slice through, and complimented with the apple butter sauce very well. And as a veggie lover, the bountiful accompaniment was my ideal side dish.

We also ordered a French onion soup, which came in three parts (soup, bread, cheese), so we could finish it up with a quick oven toast for that stringy cheese we know and love. Yum!

“Had a lovely stay mid snowstorm. Rooms seemed a bit dated but we could see the picture of coffee on the deck looking at the lake. Appreciated the hospitality would stay again. Fireplace was a great touch!”
